I lived in Mountain Vista for more than year and half and the management is great, when you need anything they are always with you, especially the female manager and without forgetting the old man maintainer ARMANDO he does everything at his best. I enjoyed the stay I had no complaints, all the time I have been there whenever there was any repair that was needed to be done was done so quick and efficiently. Very military friendly with RPP program, if you are pcsing to Fort Bliss don’t hesitate to pass by Mountain Vista apartments you’ll find out what I said here.

When we first moved in, we had 3 days to inspect our apartment and was given a walk through sheet. We were told to call gas, electricity, and water a week prior to the move in date to have everything set up. Unfortunately, it wasn’t by move in date (which is not the landlords fault) so it was difficult to see what was properly working when we could not test the heat, gas, or water within that time frame. Essentially we had to turn in our walk through without actually being able to walk through. Eventually we found out the kitchen sink was leaking, and it continued to leak every now and then throughout our time at Mountain Vista. Our dishwasher wouldn’t drain either. Our microwave was cracked with the handle almost coming off. Our ice machine never worked. We called in work orders for these things time and time again just for there to be a quick fix. We eventually stopped reporting these issues to the main office because clearly they weren’t looking for a permanent resolution. The doors to both bedrooms creaked, including the closet doors. The moment I hung my clothes up in my bedroom, the clothing rack fell off of the wall. Even the shower curtain rod fell off at one point. The bathroom didn’t have a vent. The bathroom sink and shower spouts were corroded. The apartment was dirty and had dead bugs when we moved in. Speaking of bugs, you are unable to refuse pest control or else you will have to pay a fee. You get a paper saying how to prepare your apartment for the visit, and one of the suggestions was to clear your kitchen cabinets so it could be sprayed. I did all of that just for the pest control guy to only spray underneath the kitchen and bathroom sink. He does not move your items out the way, but sprays over it. We had a red ant problem so bad that we were getting bitten in bed. We called the office on a Monday and were told they would provide services on Friday so we ended up spending our money to spray our place with repellent. That’s just too long to live with an infestation. On average a load of laundry (wash and dry) will cost you $5. You are always charged a $0.25 fee for paying on your phone, but there’s no option to pay with cash. The only time your clothes will (maybe) smell washed is if you wash it on deluxe. I would recommend testing the machines first by scanning it to see if it’ll start before loading it with clothes and detergent, because majority of the time they wouldn’t start. We tried to get reimbursed because $5/load adds up, but all we got was “sorry that it happened.” You report that the machine basically ate your money and they don’t even put up an “out of order” sign for the next person. You can try to memorize which ones are broken but beware a different one will be broken every time you go. If you guy in the pool during summer time expect it to be dirty. There will be hair, bugs, leaves, and bird feathers. Expect to come back to the pool a week later and still see the same things floating, yet the pool was just closed for cleaning the day before. This is only touching on a few issues we dealt with while living at Mountain Vista. If you are open to the possibility of running into the same issues, by all means stay here. Be ware you will need to resolve it yourself 80% of the time. The landlord will speak to you in a condescending voice when you bring up any issues with your place. There will be times she makes you feel stupid for even calling. I never felt friendly vibes from her after the contract signing was done. Please be aware that when you stay at these apartments you are on your own. Do not expect your deposit back. By the end of your lease, if all is well, they will return your deposit to your next landlord, and not to you. Really there was no point in us leaving our place spotless because we weren’t getting our money back nor did we move into a clean apartment to begin with. If you move out, the landlord will guilt you into leaving a 5 star review on Apartments.com in order to put in a good word to the next person your renting from. She’s not getting that from me today.

I moved into this apartment complex may of 2024 and i have to admit it’s a lot better then I originally expected. The living room/front room is really spacious and the bedrooms are a decent size big enough to fit a king size bed. I like the hard wood floors and the long granite countertops in the kitchen as my wife loves to cook. Even the bathroom is a good size with the toilet being away from the tub which is always a plus. Also throw in the free internet included into your rent which is a huge win. The property management are nice and willing to work with you and easy to talk too. The only con I have for this place is that it doesn’t have a washer and dryer inside the apartment nor does it have the connections to install them yourself. While it does have a laundry room where you can wash and dry clothes I always felt it was a bit of a scam to pay to wash clothes when you already pay for water may as well utilize the water to not only wash your body but clothes as well. That con aside I would definitely recommend this place to live to anyone couples, singles, families all are welcomed here. Overall I will rate this apartment complex a 4.5 out of 5 if you looking for a nice size and reasonable price for rent with some good amenities don’t hesitate to check this place out.
