Affordable rent for the area and square footage, perfect for military families who want to live off post but be close to work. The building complex is right next to an active set of railroad tracks and you will feel the rumble when trains pass by day and night. A lot of management turnover, but they're usually pretty responsive to issues and maintenance guy Manny is the best!

Move out process was ridiculous! Received invoice and they charged us for a stove we had been complaining about, we have the emails as proof. New management gave me a fake email to voice these concerns. Never heard back from them. If you military do not rent here. Keep going.

November 2024
I lived at Desert Sky for three years, and my experience was largely positive until the management changed after April 2024. Since then, the new management has seemed disorganized and unresponsive. Despite the office hours being stated as 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, the office was often closed during these times, and phone calls frequently went unanswered. My main issue arose when I moved out in September 2024. I expected to receive my deposit within 45 days, but this did not happen. Despite multiple inquiries via phone, email, and in person, I never received any final charges in the mail. Finally, in November 2024, I was told that my check had been cut and that they would provide a check number, but they never did. After waiting a week with no response, I sent a follow-up email but still received no reply. Frustrated, I called the main office and was informed that my paperwork had only just been processed and no check had been issued, directly contradicting the previous email. This miscommunication was quite disappointing. Granted, it’s not a huge amount, but it’s not about the amount—it’s about the principle. During my three-year residency, the previous management team, including Jennifer and Manny, were very efficient and helpful with any issues that arose. I never experienced the problems mentioned in other reviews and found the management and maintenance to be reliable. Regarding the community, the townhome-style apartments are a highlight as you don't have to worry about upstairs neighbors. While you may hear the train passing by, this was made clear upfront and quickly became background noise. Parking can sometimes be a challenge if you don't find a spot near your apartment. The community offers a playground for children, but other amenities are limited. There are many pet owners, and while many are responsible, some do not clean up after their pets, leading to areas littered with dog waste. In conclusion, for the price, you must be prepared to accept the limited amenities and the current management issues. Given that this property is in the Northeast, it may be worth exploring other apartment complexes that offer better rates and more amenities. I personally don't like to complain or post negative comments about places, because these can all be subjective to a person's view. I just needed to express my concern in case anyone is planning on moving here so you know what to expect from the current management.
October 2024
Lived here for about 10 months. At move in there was pet fur everywhere and the carpet upstairs smelled of animal urine. They did offer to have the carpet cleaned again but it still wasn't satisfactory. The AC vents and behind/under the washer/dryer were so dirty, we had to clean ourselves. My advice is speak up at move in and make them clean it because you paid for a clean apartment. The management was frequently changing. People don't pick up after their dogs while walking them; they did install new doggy bag stands in certain areas which was good. My neighbor hit my car, and his neighbors car (he parked between both of his neighbors and hit us both). A couple was always arguing and fighting a few doors down. The train passing by sucks. They should lower the rent for those who live in the back by the brick wall. Maintenance was awesome though. Even after the paragraph of complaining, the apartment itself still wasn't THAT bad. It was decent.

Was amazing experience but one thing kinda made us sad. I wasn't wearing a shirt and they said there were complaints. It was outside and hot. Don't understand what the problem was.
