My apartment is severely infested with roaches and it is a health hazard. I would not recommend this place to anyone, especially students! The issue has gotten so much worse over the past few months, and I’m not even comfortable sleeping or eating here anymore. Even sleeping with the lights on was not enough to keep them off my bed. I have seen tiny ones crawl out of the closed lid of my reusable water bottle many times. They are all over the kitchen. I have requested pest control four times since moving here last august. The first three times, I was at my apartment most of the day except to go to class, and did not see pest control come. I got no verification that pest control came. They finally did a clean-out treatment a few weeks ago, and it is still insufferable. Also, I had to clear everything out of my kitchen in preparation for the treatment. I was told to wash all my dishes after the treatment, but I also was told not to use my dishwasher for a few days. I also had to wait all day for pest control so I could remove my cats for the treatment and keep them out for three hours. Afterwards, there were tons of dead roaches all over my floor and the unit smelled awful. And the roach issue is not any better, so I spent hours prepping for the treatment and cleaning up after the treatment for nothing. I cannot stand living here, and the infestation has been so disruptive to my academic life that it really is not worth the rent.

Maintenance requests are handled well here. It’s a good place to live and a budget friendly option for those who can afford. Overall the staff are caring and knows what to provide. Thank you so much!

Since moving into University View Denton last November, I’ve had a great experience. The staff here communicates well and always eager to help. They actually care and pay attention to detail & it really makes a difference. # Troy has been the number one maintenance worker he deserves $1 million raise

This place is an absolute slum. The short story is, its crawling with cockroaches, the management is incompetent, and the maintenance is useless. Building 7 has a huge roach problem. It was absolutely disgusting, traumatizing, and undignified to live with cockroaches popping up everywhere I rested, cooked, ate, and slept. They advertise that they have weekly pest control but it doesn't make a difference. The one time I saw a pest control guy, he came in, said nothing to me sprayed one spot under the sink, and left. The property owner as well as the residents are getting screwed by the pest control company. I can't confirm weather or not they came the other times I requested, but needless to say, nothing got better. THE NEST (or at least one of them) IS IN THE CABINET TO THE LEFT OF THE STOVE. If you have to live here and are put in unit 239, remove the drawer and you will see the evidence. If they cared they would clear the building and fumigate it because that's what the situation calls for, but they'd rather keep collecting rent money from their victims. "Pest control" is a band-aid. I was locked out of my apartment for four hours on the first day, because the lock on my door was incorrect and nobody on the property knew where the master key was! There wasn't any agreement on the policy for parking fees (I was trying to get it waived because I don't have a car, one person said yes, the other said no). When I renewed, they just re-generated the old lease with the dates changed, and I had to get the fee removed again. The maintenance people themselves do the jobs well and are friendly, same as the student worker office assistants, both of whom have to work under terrible management. Weather or not they would actually show up for a request is a different story. My oven was missing the oven rack (making it unusable), the work order for which was repeatedly marked as complete after no action. I messaged the front office about it with no response. It took them two weeks to even start to address my leaking ceiling. The water would be shut off repeatedly without notice. As nice as it looks on the website, please don't live here. This property is completely and totally neglected.

I think I’ll love living here. I recently moved in (took over someone’s lease) just to see what it was like and feel in love with multiple things. They only have one bedrooms which was perfect for my partner and I. They just put in fresh mulch as well as new flowers which livened up the place. This apartment is extremely pet friendly especially since they have a dog park. So many cute doggies! I am satisfied with the size of my room for the price I got. It even has a patio, washer and dryer, as well as office space! So happy I chose this place! UPDATE: Been here less than a year, management is never in the office. Also, when you finally get someone to help, they have to wait for a manager. We’ve had multiple maintenance requests just completely ignored or cancelled. Don’t waste your money here. Only if you’re really desperate. That’s all I have to say. Update: This property needs to be rebuilt. I woke up to a huge bubble of some mysterious liquid in my ceiling dripping on my foot while I was sleeping. When I got maintenance involved, they stopped the bubble from growing but have kept it on the ceiling. Which I hope they don’t charge me for cause I hear they charge you like crazy when you move out. I can’t close my bathroom door and haven’t been able to since I moved in. When I asked for maintenance’s help, they just shrugged and said, “I guess it’s the buildings shifting”. Not really something you wanna hear while living in apartment. They finally fixed a couple of things after about 9 months. The screen door, the window screen that wasn’t properly placed when I moved in. It’s just chaos here. I asked about why I received a Notice to Vacate and I’ve been told I can only talk “in person” to the manager about the issue. Don’t waste your money here. I hate that I signed a lease here and regret it everyday. Let me not forget about this piece of the sign that has been detached for about a year now. Which I’m scared is also letting in cockroaches and anything else that can fit in there. UPDATE: Since writing this review there have been alot of improvements done to our apartment. We got the bubble situation fixed and they even did the work orders they had previously ignored or claimed they couldn’t do. Remember that you do get what you paid for in this instance. In my opinion I would go building by building and rebuild them into something that will last and not cost so much to repair every week. The property manager really cares about their residents and wants the best for them. It was nice to have work orders completed and things fixed. They even repaired the side of the building. Update: Moved out and they charged me absurd charges. They tried charging me for 1 months rent even though I had paid an early termination fee. Got that fixed after 2 emails. Now, they are charging me $895 because of a “full paint” and a “full deep clean” not to mention that I specifically told the maintenance man not to replace the blinds because I don’t want the cat to damage them. Now they are charging me for Blind replacement when there wasn’t one in the first place. Steer clear from this place. They only look to take your money. They don’t fix work orders in a timely manner. The manager is rarely in the office and you have to fight tooth and nail for them to get things done correctly for you. The low price is not worth the headaches and you practically pay it back at the end. I’m so glad I’ve moved out. This was the worst living experience of my life.
