The Residences at Arlington Downs

I moved here 9/28/2024 moved out 9/28/25. After trying to raise the rent 200$. From 1600$ to 1800$ for a 625sqft 1bd1ba…. They show you the new unit, and give you an old one. Painted sinks, painted toilet seat, vinyl flooring. No pressure in the toilets, not the best organization of mail, packages stolen frequently. They shovel snow and throw salt very SPARINGLY. But the worse of it, 90 DAYS and I have not received my security deposit back, so if you move here and move out. You will need an attorney to get your money back. I never once missed a payment.

Don't live here. MOLD IN BATHROOMS! Trash all over parking lot and bushes. -Kid (one specifically) screams and yells, even at residents. When an issue is brought the attention of the maintenance team they don't fix anything just write it off in the resident portal. -Apartment has black fuzzy mold in the bathrooms and near the kitchen sink due to moisture issues, Jeanette told me herself all the units have water damage and ventilation issues. -Yellow streaks dripping down the walls of the bathroom, it looks like the previous tenant was smoking in the bathroom and the streaks are from nicotine... it drips down the walls onto our shampoo and soaps its very disgusting. -If you try to turn the heat on it smells like there's a dead animal inside of it. -Dry wall damaged/squishy wall and falling apart all over bedroom. Walls in closet are falling apart and cracked. -Entire closet door falling off hinges. -Tubs paint is peeling off, endless water damage, pink bacteria mold growing due to moisture issue. -Fridge is leaking water from freezer and fridge regardless off temp adjustment. -They will post maintenance requests as finished but the actual issues aren't fixed at all. This place doesn't care about comfort or safety. The maintenance man (Sabino) will blame the issues on the building being old and "shitty" (his words) -Neighbors will slam doors repeatedly, allow children to throw trash all over the parking lot and bushes. I constantly see neighbors throwing trash out of their cars into the parking lot. Maintenance will leave paint trays, dry wall, caulk in grass.

This was not a bad apartment; it was close to everything and within walking distance to the major restaurants and shops. The only thing was that when we left the apartment, they took a picture of another unit and found reason to not give us back our deposit. Patty was always nice and Jeannette was also very pleasant. I felt very safe here during my stay. This was 7 years ago.

Jeanette! You did it again! You are awesome and such a big help! Thank you for everything!! And, our place is beautiful! The maintenance staff is wonderful too! Our place is perfect! We are so happy. Thank you! 🙏🏽 Also, so much room. Update: the roofs on all the buildings look great!! Great keep up!

Our first home in USA was at the Residences at Arlington Heights very peaceful and clean complex. Manager Jeanette was very kind and professionally solved everything when we move out. I really recommend this place if someone looks for new apartment. 🫶🏻✨
