If I could give them zero starts I would. We haven’t had internet for three weeks. I’ve been working with Pavlov (the Internet provider they use) and they haven’t been able to fix it. I’ve reached out to the Leonard multiple times for them to step in or provide a temporary solution and they just haven’t responded. This new management sucks

If you have asthma or simply don’t want your apartment to smell like weed and cigarettes, do not move here. They allow residence to smoke weed and anything else indoors and the smoke travels from unit to unit via AC. I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve had to literally evacuate the property, close my vents, open the windows and turn off my AC because they refuse to enforce the “no smoking” rule. My life has been a living hell here because I cannot breathe multiple times a week, multiple times a day. I have to sleep with a N°95 mask on many nights. I have reported this many times to the property, and nothing is done other than then telling me they can’t enforce their own rules.

SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE AND DO NOT LIVE HERE. I lived here for 2 years and it was ok, the staff is friendly and the amenities are fine. But once I moved out it became a nightmare. I was charged $400 for a carpet replacement for damages caused by my roommates pet. I had told them before I moved that my roommate and I switched rooms and any damages caused in there were not from me it took months to get an explanation from anyone and even now when I attempt to call or email asking for photo evidence of damages it gets ignored. Residents beware.

Good to BAD: I’m going on my third year at living at The Leonard and not even into a month into my new lease and I regret renewing big time. You would think the longer you stay the better rate you would get or at least even. Not only am I paying nearly double what new residents are being offered (being declined the new advertised rate) but the move in process was and is atrocious. I moved into a 2x2 and will be paying 1,000 a month for an apartment that hasn’t been set up properly. My washer was broken twice, dryer was broken, leaving me without clean clothes for several days, bedroom door couldn’t shut or lock, fan doesn’t spin nearly at all, wifi has been out since I moved in two weeks ago, microwave wheel ring is the wrong size so it doesn’t spin correctly, and my roommates door’s hinges aren’t on correctly. It is absolutely ridiculous and to think I’m paying so much more. They act like they want to help but do not. Was happy my first year but I now have to say I will not be renewing because this has been awful. I do not recommend.

The staff are very friendly and the leasing process was super easy to complete. However, sometimes instead of getting verification on questions they don’t know the answers to, I have had them tell me incorrect information. I signed an as is ammendum for my lease, so I knew the risks associated with how clean the apartment would be upon my arrival. However, I never expected it to be so dirty. (See pictures below) In addition, I was told that although my unit would not be cleaned professionally (per my lease which was fine) but that our kitchen and common areas would still be professionally cleaned. However, this never happened. In addition, our couch cushions were completely ruined upon move in and it took over 3 weeks to get them replaced. Even though we reached out to the office multiple times, the staff took no action until my roommate had a lawyer email them. We also had a roach inside of our oven, in the oven display screen display where the clock shows. We talked to the office about this multiple times but they never did anything. They also delivered trash cans to each apartment, but ours was filled with a mystery liquid and came extremely dirty. We asked the office to replace it since we will have to clean it upon move out, but they never did. You are also required to pay a $25 amenity fee every month. While they do have about 4-5 events per month, the majority take place during their office hours, so for people who work full time, it can feel like a waste of money. In order to enter any of their giveaways, they require you to write a Google review. Therefore, a majority of the reviews are often inauthentic and practically forced. I also took a month long trip out of the country and notified staff ahead of time. While I was gone, I had my roommate pick up my packages. The staff asked me to email them to grant her authorization, which was a nice security measure. However, I never received a response back to the email letting me know that my roommate was authorized to pick up my things. When she went, they told her the email I sent had to be on the same day otherwise she would be unable to get my things. Since I was 17 hours ahead of CST, this would be difficult. The office never emailed me or notified me at all to update me on this information. I found out via my roommate. I sent another email authorizing her to pick up my packages any day and expressed my disappointment over their lack of communication, met with no response again. Although the prices here are reasonable, the communication of the staff is often inconsistent. In addition, the rooms are pretty small as well. In our 2x2 unit, the living room/kitchen space is huge, but they have tiny rooms.
