The Hightone

The apartments appear very nice and spacious from the outside, and initially the staff was helpful. Unfortunately, my experience changed when I interacted with Melissa. I scheduled an appointment to tour the property while considering moving in. After waiting approximately 20 minutes without being greeted, I watched as Melissa assisted others before finally approaching me to ask if I needed help. I explained that I had an appointment to view an apartment, and she informed me that tours were canceled due to the weather. My concern was not that the tour was canceled, but that I was never notified. When I asked why no one had called to let me know before I made the trip, she stated that everyone had been contacted and messages had been left. However, I did not receive a phone call or voicemail. The only communication I received was a message confirming my appointment. As I tried to explain this, I felt that my concerns were dismissed and that there was little interest in addressing the situation. The interaction left a negative impression, and after contacting management, I felt similarly dismissed. This was my personal experience, and others may have a different one. The property itself looks beautiful from the outside, but unfortunately, because I was unable to tour the apartment, I cannot comment on the interior. My disappointment stems entirely from the customer service experience I received.

I moved into the Hightone in November and I could not be happier! I am home!!!!! The staff is amazing. Anytime I have put in a request for something they are on it! When we had the ice storm this winter a pipe burst in the building. I could not believe how quickly the staff got it stopped and cleaned up. I could not recommend this place enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Be aware that management appears far more focused on manipulating their online reputation than actually addressing resident concerns. Residents were sent a notice offering rent concessions and gift card incentives in exchange for Google reviews, while also being told to include a specific “code word” so the reviews could be identified. Events like this happen very frequently as well. That completely undermines the credibility of the ratings here and makes it difficult to trust whether the positive reviews actually reflect genuine resident experiences. Anyone considering living here should also take a look at the BBB profile for parent company TAM Residential before signing a lease. The company currently holds an F rating with numerous complaints and failures to respond to complaints. People looking for housing deserve honest and transparent feedback, not reputation management tactics disguised as community events.

Last night was Taco Tuesday at the Hightone. Residents were treated to a party with lime margaritas and tacos and music and I got to meet all my new neighbors. The staff worked hard to keep the plates full and margaritas flowing and I met four new neighbors. It was fun! I love it here!
