There is a roach infestation. Maintenance will say they will fog, and never show up. Then say they didβ¦ I had a meeting with assistant director of housing, director RA, supervisor of maintenance and a maintenance staff for pest control, and the outsourced company that TWU uses for their pest control today. It was an ambush. I worked with DSS to have an early move-in in mid August and still havenβt unpacked my kitchen because they said they needed to clean or spray control from the roaches! They blame the current residents but they donβt even clean the roach feces off with the proper cleaning supplies. Roach feces have pheromones that attract more roaches if not cleaned up properly. So, it is a unprofessional cycle that leads an uninhabitable environment unsafe for young children, ESA, disabled or anyone! Update 9/12: I was removed from the group chat because I informed the other tenants on my meeting. Image is of a screenshot from my RA attempt to isolate me. And the two videos are from my cabinets that TWU refuse to clean out properly. I wish someone would have posted about these living conditions before me. I hope this shows you the true about TWU housing. I feel forced to drop out of this school because I canβt attend school full time and find a new place to live. My safety isnβt their priority. Update 9/15 Some cleaners came after they finally fogged the apartment. Over 20 dead roaches that I saw, might be more but still cleaning up. I added a few photos, one is the top of a door frame that I just noticed a few bugs up there, no telling how long they have been there, the other is the water from a carpet cleaner I bought. They said they had the carpets shampooed twice before moving in here. I donβt wear shoes in my house so, idk why it is THAT dirty after βtwo professional carpet cleaningβ. And the other is my pantry of when I have moved in. Instead of killing the roaches and cleaning up the feces that goes all the way to ceiling, they just caulked it up. Still waiting on them to clean it up. Itβs nasty. After the fogging I decided to do a more deep clean and found roach feces on the side of the bathroom cabinets and in the top corner on the closet shelf. I never thought to look there. I have emailed deans, directors, assistant directors and the chancellor. No one responded. I have sent about four emails requesting for someone to talk to me about the horrible ambush of a meeting, reducing my rent for not having a kitchen for more than 10 weeks, or just acknowledging this experience and how it has impacted my stay here and my classes. They get to have a nice weekend without any consequences. DSS office finally did call me after I mentioned that I should drop out, and recommended that I just move out. But now I have Roaches in my stuffβ¦ Unlock a new few-10/09: putting your hands in a washing machine to get wet clothes out that are covered with Roaches. The roaches crawl on the sewer and then all over your βcleanβ clothes. Update 07/24/2024 Still nothing has been updated. The apartment is still infested with roaches and dead roaches everywhere. The staff doesnβt care. If you want roaches in your hair, food, in your clothes, and want to be lied to for over a year by a team of scam artist, move into TWU housing. Whatever you bring here, make sure you can throw it away.
