Hillside Apartments

Deleted my previous review because the complex eventually got things fixed but now back again after getting an email about being behind on rent and late chargers when we are paid up in full. All this at 9pm the day after christmas is just stressfull beyond belief. what makes matters worse is that we can not login to the rmresident app to look at anything. I hope this is just a mistake but its very concerning that its always something happening here. No email or notice about any issues just a random corporate email at 9pm the day after chrismas. Make it make sense. We are so tired about being stressed out about something in this apartment and we shouldnt be living like this. So update. Found out we have been double charged for utilities and pest control as well. Was told told to just make a payment. So trying to make 2 grand magically appear. This is the most disorganized I've ever seen a place and the lack of motivation to do anything about it is concerning. Second update. Was told the payment was made from a closed bank account, the same one where the money for rent was taken from and that we use daily.......best to stay away from this place at this point. Third update. Finally got a ahold of property manager 20 minutes before they closed and was told that the issue is with our bank account being closed even though its the same one weve used before and are active with it and then tried to explain that this pattern has been going on for months where the money is cleared then the tenant portal says the check was returned but then it was cleared at the end of the month. We tried explaining that but Jess was not having it and said that shes done all she can do and will have to send it to the court if we dont pay. Between the issues with moving in here and such, and now this with a clear issue on their end with having taken our money and it magically vanishing even though the bank says its been cleared, just stay away from here all together.

Lovely ladies! Especially Tatiana she's helped us through the entire process and has been super helpful!!! They were able to work with us on getting a unit and helped make the move easy! Also Lydia and Jessica were suuuuuper helpful!!!!!!! Overall wonderful experience I've never been so stoked to move to a new apartment withe such friendly and chills staff!

I have lived here almost 2 years now and I have loved my experience so much. It’s very close to my school and it’s in a great location. You can’t even hear the highway and it’s very close. The staff are so amazing and I will be renewing my lease again. I haven’t had any issues with water so idk what other people are complaining about. I’ve had 0 problems and 0 complaints.

I have never in my life lived somewhere where the access to hot water was so inconsistent and it seems like the staff seems to care so little. I stopped calling after I got a loud sigh last time I asked when the water would be fixed/if it would be fixed for good. There is clearly deeper repair work to be done because once fixes are made, we will have hot water for another day or so before it goes again. I would estimate in the last 6-8 months, we have been without hot water upward of 15-20 times, but never all in a row, so in terms of renters rights we don't have a case to make, but the complex knows that, and band-aid repairs the water about once a month when it goes out. How convenient!

After finally receiving my deposit back, I can actually leave a review. The cost of the apartment and everything was great but my god, the structure. 0/10. The appliances? 0/10. The first apartment I lived in, in this complex, apartment 169, flooded everytime it rained, then i realized there was sandbags outside my window .. so obviously they knew the apartment had flooded before and they still decided to rent it to me. My first 60 days in the first apartment I was in, the hot water was off, numerous times, then my air conditioner went out, after not being able to bathe myself and my then, 6 month old baby, and the stress from the apartment flooding constantly, they finally gave me a new apartment. You think wouldve happened the first time my apartment flooded. I received the keys to another apartment in about a week. Unit 226, Then again, the problems started up, it had not been properly cleaned. The top of the fridge had dirt literally caked onto it, the shower diverter wasnt working, my dish washer wasnt screwed into the wall so it kept falling out of the wall, and building up moldly smelling water at the bottom of it. which stunk up the whole apartment, so i would run the dishwasher to try and get the smell out, lmao. then the dishwasher started flooding my kitchen, when i turned the eyes on, on my stove smoke filled the house, Then the toilet stopped flushing, & didnt work for the last 2 months I was there. Keep in mind this all is within a timespan of 6 months I was there. If you're young & desperately trying to get into your first apartment as a first time renter please beware. Jessica and everyone in the office are very very sweet, so I know its their jobs just to get the apartments rented out, but the stress from being in this complex was out of this world.
