The entire staff at Discovery Park Apartments have been nothing short of exceptional. Lyndsay, is an incredible manager—always helpful, kind, and responsive to any questions or concerns we’ve had. Her professionalism and care for residents truly set this community apart. The maintenance team has also been exceptional. They have always been friendly, prompt, and thorough in addressing any maintenance needs. A very special thank-you goes to Freddy, the lead maintenance technician. He has made our time here truly memorable. Our girls absolutely adore him and look forward to seeing his friendly smile and warm greetings. His kindness and attention to detail have made our apartment feel like home.

I know this place has gone through several changes over the years in terms of ownership and management, but I want to start by saying that maintenance has always been very helpful and prompt whenever I’ve had concerns. Today, we experienced an issue with our A/C unit due to a power outage that affected the entire apartment complex. The maintenance staff responded quickly and provided a temporary solution until the main issue could be fully resolved on Monday. Every time I’ve contacted the office to request assistance, the staff has been friendly, professional, and helpful. The main ongoing issues here are related to some residents being inconsiderate—such as loud stomping, playing music or TV at high volumes, smoking inside units, slamming cabinets, leave trash outside their units when they are not supposed to, which creates messes and attracts bugs, and some residents prop exterior doors open despite multiple email communications advising against it. My advice to management would be to take a more proactive and firm approach in enforcing community rules, including issuing fines or additional fees to units that repeatedly violate policies. That said, management and the on-call officer have always handled any situations I’ve reported promptly and professionally. Since the current management took over, they have been gradually making improvements to the property. Unfortunately, they inherited several issues from the previous owner, including outdated furniture in the pool area, broken elevators, and damaged exterior doors. While these challenges take time to resolve, management has been actively working to address them. That said, the biggest ongoing issue tends to be resident behavior, as some residents are inconsiderate and contribute to many of the problems. Overall, maintenance, management, and the on-call officer have consistently been responsive, professional, and helpful whenever I’ve needed assistance.

They are a total fiasco. They claim to be luxury apartments, but they are quite the opposite. Year after year, the quality and service deteriorate drastically. Do not rent this property; it is very bad.

I was originally very excited to move into this complex. I was told I was a qualifying candidate for The essential housing program, which would essentially take about $300 off my monthly rent. With that information I signed right away and was very excited to move in. It took over six months for them to finally get me on essential housing because they kept forgetting. I called multiple times with no answer. Finally, I get on the essential housing and I qualified for a smaller amount because they waited too long to get me on. While living there, my boyfriend moved in with me and we added him to my lease and put all of his information in our resident portal, including his car license plate, and the information for his vehicle so it would not be towed. Not even a couple weeks later, he was towed from our complex, leaving him with no way to get to work paying almost $400 out of pocket because this apartment complex never sent his car information to the city of Denton when that is their job. They asked me if I told the office that we submitted all of his paperwork and that’s the only way that they would send it to city of Denton and I responded with yes. They only covered $100 of his tow fee and said the rest was our fault for not submitting it to city of Denton when absolutely NOBODY said it was our job to do so, only that we put his info on the lease and resident portal and confirm with the office to be able to get him a set of keys. During the summer when it was 100° outside my AC broke three separate times leaving us in heat for days and racking up my electric bill once it was turned back on. Our AC unit closet was full of mold from it leaking and they never disinfected it or clean out the mold and who knows how long I was living there with mold Now I am being fined $588 as a move out charge for damages when I paid over $1000 deposit that they never gave back to me and nobody is answering the phone nobody’s answering emails and I’ve spoken to Roger three separate occasions where he said he would compensate me for the car being towed, and that we would expunge these charges, given all of the things that we were charged for while living there and now it’s crickets. I just tried calling again and it hung up on me and said the mailbox was full. I’m convinced they blocked me.

Discovery Park Apartments exemplifies what excellent apartment living should look like. The management team is highly professional, approachable, and truly dedicated to residents’ needs. The manager leads with care and efficiency, ensuring that the community runs smoothly and that concerns are addressed promptly. Roger, in particular, stands out for his exceptional support and responsiveness. No matter how busy his schedule is, he always takes time to provide thoughtful solutions and personal attention. The supporting staff mirrors this same level of professionalism, creating a consistently positive environment for residents. Equally impressive is the maintenance team. Freddy is wonderful. They not only respond quickly but also carry out their work with skill and courtesy. Their reliability brings peace of mind, knowing that any issue will be resolved with quality and care. After two years here, I can confidently say Discovery Park Apartments is a place where management, staff, and maintenance truly set the standard for excellence.
