I’ve lived at Victory Place for over a year now and have truly loved my experience. The units and amenities are beautiful, but what really sets Victory Place apart is the exceptional staff who make it feel like home. In particular, Mike at the concierge desk and Maggie, our housekeeper, consistently go above and beyond. They always greet residents with a smile and genuinely brighten everyone’s day. I couldn’t be happier living here!

Today, I toured these apartments with Amanda! I just want to give her a big shoutout. She was amazing, informative and super sweet! She kept me engaged the entire tour. I was also impressed with the property overall! Hopefully Victory Place will become my future home!!!

Moving into Victory Place Apartments at 1701 Payne St was a breeze! The staff went above and beyond to make everything smooth and stress-free. I really appreciated that the service elevator was reserved just for me for a full three-hour block—it made the move so much easier. I was able to park the moving truck at the loading dock, load everything into the elevator and move boxes and furniture into the apartment without worry about the elevator coming back for me. A special shoutout to Mike, the Concierge, who was absolutely amazing. He was there every time I needed help—friendly, professional, and genuinely eager to make sure everything went perfectly. Thanks to Mike, Gavin, Alicia, and the team, my move-in experience couldn’t have been better. Highly recommend Victory Place to anyone looking for a beautiful community with exceptional service! The views are AWESOME too!

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to live in prison? Welcome to Victory Place under Weidner Management! I lived here for nearly 4 years and can confirm the building’s downfall under Weidner should be studied as a Harvard Business School case titled “How to Torpedo a Business in Real Time.” And about those glowing 5-star reviews? Mostly smoke and mirrors — gift cards for people who toured but never moved in, or Weidner staff and their families members leaving reviews. * Vacancy & Staff Attitude : Victory Place has been the reigning champion of empty apartments in the area since at least April and the reasons are screamingly obvious. Apart from barely any amenities working that residents pay for (see photos) the office staff look like they’re being held hostage and are miserable in their jobs. Their motto should be: we aren’t happy unless you’re not. Hours posted are 10 a.m.–6 p.m., but in reality it’s more like “whenever they feel like showing up.” If you work a full-time job that’s not remote and try emailing them to get something resolved, don’t hold your breath. * False Advertising & Ghost Amenities: The amenities they advertise online? Mostly a mirage. HVAC in the hallways has been dead since April and they’ve run out of excuses as to why this hasn’t been resolved in over 5 months. The smell of garbage is prominent throughout the building with sewage issues on top of that. The “state-of-the-art” gym is more like “state-of-disrepair,” with at least two treadmills permanently out of service at all times along with other equipment simply missing or non functioning. There is no working wifi in common areas, no working grills, non functioning tv’s in common areas, and the list goes on. * Parking: The Hunger Games Edition: Parking used to be normal. Then Weidner arrived and turned it into a money grab. Fewer reserved spots if you don’t want to pay for a reserved space = fewer spots for all other residents and guests. Get home after 6 p.m.? Enjoy the scenic rooftop if you’re lucky. And the gate system? Think escape room — multiple numbers to call for guests, long queues of cars waiting to be let in and out, 10+ minute waits just to leave. * Community Life (R.I.P.): Once upon a time we had 2–3 community events a month with prior management companies, which are now non existent since Weidner took over. They don’t want to build a community, they want to break tenants moral. Want to rent the clubhouse? Hope you enjoy unanswered emails and a fee 4-5x higher than nearby properties. Concierge turnover is a revolving door, which means untrained staff, no one at the desk, long lines of confused guests and delivery drivers, and zero safety control over who’s allowed on your floor. The 24/7 concierge, once a selling point for safety, is effectively gone. * Elevators & Maintenance, The Plot Thickens: Elevators break so often you start to bond with your hallway neighbors in line. Even the Dallas Fire Department confirmed Weidner slashed preventative maintenance. Grills were broken all summer. The Walmart $39.99 “beach BBQ” that showed up at the end of summer came with a full grease trap and disappeared just as fast as it arrived. It’s like a scavenger hunt for working amenities. Window washing that used to happen twice a year is now a battle to even get Weidner to hire someone. This all begs the question: where is my rent money going? I can confirm it’s not for maintenance, upgrading broken equipment, or hosting community events. * Move-Out & Security Deposit: Kiss your deposit goodbye and brace for charges. Rather than improving the property and living conditions for residents, they’re padding their 2025 budget by squeezing residents on the way out. This was not the case under previous management, but since Weidner needs a pay-day due to the highest vacancy in the area, you're on the hook. The Only Bright Spot is Mike, Alisha, Maggie, Josh, and Tony. Actually pleasant and enjoy being in hospitality, and the only reason my final year was even remotely tolerable.

I’ve been living at Victory Place Apartments for over a year and renewed my lease back in August. Unfortunately, I recently received a new opportunity that requires me to move. I only have great things to say about this place. The location couldn’t be better—it’s close to everything Dallas has to offer: great bars, restaurants, gyms, supermarkets, and the Katy Trail, an 8-mile path perfect for runners. Parking is convenient, though I’d recommend renting a personal spot so you never forget where you parked (unless you want to ask Siri for a daily reminder!). The amenities are fantastic—modern, clean, and thoughtfully designed. I especially love the concrete details throughout the building, and the Pool, Gym and BBQ area on the 25th floor with stunning views of the Dallas skyline. The community here is respectful and friendly, but what really makes Victory Place special is the staff. Yesenia, Amanda, Tony, Alysha, Mike, and Alana are always there to help with anything—from admin to maintenance—and they truly go above and beyond to make residents feel supported and valued. I’ve uploaded a video of my apartment and the incredible views so you can get a better idea of what living here is like.
