Village Hill has been GREAT, the maintenance team at the Village is the best out of any complex I've lived at. Quick to respond, during the winter freeze one worker noticed a leak in our (vacant at the time) neighbors unit, and since our pipes were connected he was able to find and fix the leak in our kitchen before it flooded our entire downstairs. My fam loves living here! :)

Now that I’m out of the Village I feel like I can post honestly about what it was like living there! The Village as a whole is great for someone just coming from college. They offer opportunities to mingle and make friends (even if not a ton of people go!) and the walking trails, for Dallas, are pretty user friendly. You pay a premium for the gated neighborhoods here but it’s all obsolete as even the gated ones can be easily entered. The vast number of pools was definitely a perk until they opened it to the public, and I fully took advantage of the yoga on the lawn events! The pet policy is pretty fair, however any breed can technically live here if they’re labeled as a “service animal”, which caused some problems when my dog was bit by one. In the one year I lived here pretty much all but 2 or 3 businesses in the town center closed or was replaced by something different. It seems like they’re still trying to figure out what will perform well there so I hope they figure that out! As far as living in the Hill, yes it is reasonably priced but you get what you pay for - which is dirty and outdated living quarters, and non-existent security which is fine if you’re not a young, female college grad. The parking though is probably the worst part of living at the Hill. There’s no dedicated spots for Hill residents, so when there’s events happening across the street, civilians fill the lots and force you walking from kingdom come to get to your unit. Which, during the day is fine, but at night can get a little sketchy. I have since moved out of the city but if I were to ever move back to the Dallas area I would definitely look into other options with covered parking and increased security. I’m paying LESS than I did living at the Hill now, for a completely renovated corner unit in downtown.

I have been pleasantly surprised with our experience at the Village Hill. I’ve lived here for 2 years and just signed to live here a third. Our apartment truly feels safe and maintenance is amazing. Our a/c went out on a hot summer Sunday (also a holiday) and they came to fix it same day. I am amazed! I had this happen at another non-Village rental and waited DAYS for them to fix it. I also have appreciated how quickly maitenance requests are resolved. Your maitenance team deserves excellent compensation! I truly don’t know how they do it! I also am grateful to the staff that walks around picking up trash on the grounds. It’s very appreciated and keeps it looking nice and pests under control. While we do find several earwigs, tiny millipedes and the occasional cockroach, we have been pleased with the pest control. As with most apartments, I’m sure once they’re driven out of one apartment, they move into another. Additionally, we probably should get better seal on the door, but my cat has too much fun killing any tiny creatures that come in under the door at night(I’ll submit a maitenance request soon for that). While I wish our kitchen were bigger and newer, I’m grateful I’m not paying for a fancy kitchen. I also wish the carpet was removed from the downstairs living room/ dining room area and replaced with vinyl because it stains crazy easily. In general, our unit could use a renovation, but for the price we are paying and the amount of space we get it’s great - I know a renovation would cause rent rate to increase considerably. Also, the parking space situation is a little frustrating, but we typically find parking easily when we go to the far lot. I appreciate not having reserved spots everywhere because it makes life difficult for those who have visitors. Additionally, the Village Fit and other amenities are excellent. I’m grateful we also have pools in the Village Hill complex that feel more relaxed and less like a party. For the price, this place is hard to beat! Thank you all for making The Village Hill such a nice place to live!

Lived here for a year. Staff was always on top of it. Maintenance was super fast (same-day fast. And they did a really good job of caring for the space. And they were super helpful once we left and gave us our full deposit back. They did fix plumbing issues alot so the water would be out for a bit but we're always super communicative about the hours. 1 thing at the Hill is the height of the bathroom counter if you're a bit on the taller side😅. No real pest problems. I genuinely loved it here. I even got to paint my room!and the location is so convenient.

My husband and I have lived here for about 1.5 years and have loved it. We always say "How did we get so lucky??" Over the summer our AC broke, so we called Maintenance and they came and fixed it for free within an hour. Quiet, friendly neighbors. Clean and well maintained, I've never seen a bug inside our place. They offered to clean our carpet for free when we renewed our lease. My husband and I always joke that we wish we could live here forever and just add on additional bedrooms as we need more space - LOL. I mean occasionally you do hear thumping music as a car drives by or sirens late at night, but come on it's Dallas. Close to Loop 12 and 75, but cannot hear traffic. I feel safe, and there has only been one break-in (through an unlocked back door) in the 1.5 years we have lived here, and that's so good considering they're apartments in a sketchy-ish part of Dallas! And it doesn't feel sketchy bc The Village keeps the landscaping and amenities nice. Great location, everything seems like it's ten minutes away. I work up in Plano and the commute is 20 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in the afternoon, even with rush hour traffic. Overall I love it, 10/10 would highly recommend.
