The Brix Apartments

I don’t even know where to start…I usually only do good reviews but I had to talk about the worst living situation of my life. The management here is terrible and they only respond promptly when it comes to money and paying rent. This place is cheap for a reason. First, the heat/cooling system is off a boiler system so you can’t have heat or AC for a specific time frame or whenever you want. I was here for 2 years and it was quite miserable. Another thing is the maintenance. I have attached a video of some mold from the bathroom and it took a long time for maintenance to come. The only thing they did to fix it was paint over it. And when it rained, it would leak and get all nasty again. The manager dismissed my mold concerns and told me in all caps IT IS FIXED ALREADY DO NOT MAKE FALSE ACCUSATIONS. You have to pay a monthly pest fee and I saw about 4 roaches during my stay here. Another thing was the parking. I was located near the leasing office and the day I moved out I had my car parked under the stairs to conveniently move my stuff and the manager CHARGED me $150 for inconvenience for not telling her like what? I was there for not even 2 hours…..Another thing was the security deposit. She didn’t even reach out to us about it and said “Oh we thought you had a different mail address so we didn’t send it to you.” She claimed we didn’t have an address on file when the email says it right there….If you look at the reviews closely, they only respond to the “bad” reviews to defend themselves and make them look good. Anyways, stay here for cheap rent but other than that, NO please stay away from here.

Moved in a little more than a year and a half ago, and my overall experience at the Brix has been great! Management has always been responsive. Here is a list of remarks I have for the apartment complex: It’s safe! Never had a stolen Amazon package, heard anything weird or witnessed any issues related to safety I saw a bug once and pest control was called quickly to treat my unit and no bug has been seen since then. Other neighbors I had the chance to talk to told me they did not have a problem with pests either Internet in the units is very fast if you take Spectrum. No in unit washer and dryer, it’s a bit of a bummer but we have collective rooms to clean and dry our laundry It’s quiet, everyone minds their own business, you’ll just hear the planes landing at the airport but it’s not very loud and after a couple months, we don’t hear them anymore Last cool thing I have to say, is about the neighborhood. We have ducks wandering around and it’s fun when you’re going out for a walk Below are pictures of my unit so you can see what a 1 bedroom 1 bathroom unit looks like
