This leasing office was a headache. Staff communication was poor and unhelpful. We also had ongoing issues with safety—car break-ins—and elevators frequently out of order. There is also problems with the gate, constantly malfunctioning, and the homeless frequent the garage as a result adding to more safety issues. There’s constant trash in the hallways and around the property. Jordan Bower did nothing to address any of our concerns and felt very condescending and dismissive. I would highly recommend checking out other apartments in the area. I would never live at the Marquis again. Jordan Bower’s treatment felt unfair, and I was left with the impression she holds a BIG bias towards certain groups of people.

I lived at this community for two years, and I truly had such a positive experience during my time here. From move-in to move-out, the team consistently made me feel valued and taken care of. The leasing agent (Taylor) who helped us with our initial move-in made the entire process smooth and stress-free. She was patient, informative, and always willing to answer any questions we had, which made starting this new chapter feel exciting instead of overwhelming. The property manager (Nikki) was absolutely amazing. Anytime l had a maintenance request or an issue in my apartment, they personally followed up to make sure everything was resolved properly. That level of care and communication really stood out to me. It showed that they genuinely cared about their residents and the quality of the community. The assistant manager (Jordan) joined a few months ago, but in that short time has been incredibly helpful, especially during our move-out process. She was responsive, kind, and made sure everything was clear and straightforward. Overall, I'm grateful for the two years I spent here. The staff truly makes the difference, and it's clear they work hard to create a welcoming and well-managed community. Sad to leave to due to work but I would absolutely recommend this property to anyone looking for a place to call home.

I would strongly caution anyone considering Marquis at Texas Street based on my experience over a two year tenancy. While the apartment itself was ok, the management experience was consistently disorganized, stressful, and unprofessional (particularly with the Community Director, Andrea/Nikki). Throughout our tenancy, we dealt with repeated issues including: • Poor record-keeping and misinformation • Unsupported claims and accusations • Maintenance concerns that were never properly resolved • A lack of transparency and accountability from management At move-out, we were presented with excessive and unjustified charges, including a large carpet replacement fee allegedly due to “heavy pet damage,” despite there being no prior documentation, no inspection notes, and no evidence presented during any walkthroughs. Normal wear and tear after two years of occupancy was reclassified as tenant damage. When disputed, the “proof” provided consisted of questionable documentation rather than professional assessments. Additionally, a bathroom mold issue that had been reported multiple times during our tenancy was repeatedly caulked over by maintenance instead of properly remediated. Despite this being a known issue, we were later charged for tub resurfacing; yet another example of tenants being held financially responsible for unresolved maintenance problems. What made this experience especially frustrating was the pattern: concerns were ignored, questions went unanswered, and charges were defended without addressing the actual facts. When escalated, the response was simply to double down and threaten collections rather than engage in good-faith resolution. After reviewing recent resident feedback, it’s clear this is not an isolated experience, but part of a broader trend. I would not rent here again, nor would I choose another Marquis property based on how this situation was handled. Proceed with caution and document EVERYTHING if you decide to live here.

I looked up a lot of apartment complexes before deciding to tour. The Marquis was number one on my list and after touring I had to live here. The apartments are beautiful, and the amenities are perfect for my lifestyle. The office staff was all smiles & attentive! The property manager Nikki was welcoming and made me feel at home. Can’t wait to get my keys!

Marquis at Texas Street property manager, Nikki, is an absolute great property manager and very helpful. When any issue arises, she is quick to respond. Her maintenance staff are quick to respond to issues to resolved them quickly. This property is well kept and maintained. This community feels like home and the pool area is the best! It's very close to downtown and Uptown. It's a great location to live and everything you need is close by. I enjoy the amenities in the club house. If you love a clean, quiet contemporary place to live, then call this community "home"
