Gables Katy Trail- Dallas

I loved living here at first. I lived here for a couple of years but over time it just started becoming a PAIN to deal with. Elevators never work. Water is ALWAYS shut off here. They have MAJOR leak issues. If you have an electric car, be mindful that residents with non-electric cars do not care to follow the rules and will take up ALL of the charging spots. I ended up having to pay for reserved parking just to make sure i could charge. They probably don’t listen to the rules because they know that the apartments do not tow at all. I had a guests’ car breakdown in the visitor section. I called the number provided in the garage and never got a response. So when I asked Ebre in the front office, “what towing company do ya’ll use?” She responded with, “thats a good question! Let me know if you find out!”…. Don’t worry about cleaning everything when you move out, they’ll still charge you for it on the security deposit. My guests always got lost in the garage and then ended up getting locked in there. I also don’t suggest moving in here if you like to have a good time. I got multiple noise complaints. Even on nights that I was in bed before 11pm. The office didn’t care to listen to my side and continued to charge me. To the point that I ended up having to move out or face an ask to vacate. Valet Trash only comes half the time. The mailboxes were broken into almost 6 months ago. They have still not been fixed and residents currently have to go to the post office to pick up mail. I know this because I had to go the office a few days ago to pick up my last package. When i signed a new lease somewhere else, I gave my forwarding address DIRECTLY to Ebre. Here we are two months later, and I had to call Gables’ direct main line because I never received a refund. Turns out they never received my forwarding address…interesting. All in all, loved it at first, but definitely wouldn’t recommend. Edit: Ben and Fran deserve all of the raises here. They do SO much for this property and it would not run without them. 10/10 for Ben and Fran🤍

This place is trash. The elevators are never working, they always have the water shut off because they constantly have issues with it, the "valet trash" (which you HAVE to pay for even if you don't want to use their service) NEVER comes to pick it up like they're supposed to do. The EV charging spots are always occupied by non electric vehicles and if there is one available they rarely work. Half of the entire buildings mailboxes were broken into almost 6 months ago and everyone's mail was stolen and it's still broken so the post office has had to hold everyone's mail until its fixed. The ONLY people that should have a job here are the maintenance men bc they're the only ones that actually do their jobs and are friendly. Thanks Ben and Fran!
