I moved into Belclaire Apartments right when the new management took over, and it has truly been an amazing year living here. Mahogany, the property manager, and Jennifer, the assistant manager, have both been incredible, professional, attentive, and always willing to help. Samantha in the office is also extremely friendly and supportive every time I stop by. The maintenance team deserves a special mention as well. They are prompt, efficient, and always make sure any issue is handled quickly. Since moving in, I’ve seen so many positive changes around the property, ongoing renovations, updated areas, and a noticeably cleaner community overall. The compound is clean, the trash is consistently taken care of, and even the parking lot stays well-maintained. Overall, I’m genuinely happy to be a resident here. My experience has been great, and I’ll be renewing my lease without hesitation. If you’re looking for apartments in the area, I can confidently recommend Belclaire Apartments.

The progress this community has made in 6months is astounding. Management goes above and beyond in the care for residents. Location is great, Gym is beautiful and well maintained, the hallways smell better and community kept clean. Major improvements in the lighting of the garage. Security is on-site and effective. I recommend checking them out if you're interested in this area.

i usually never leave long reviews but belclaire really earned this one. the whole place feels like it went through a total glow up and it shows the moment you walk in. the full in and out renovation changed everything. the new pool deck looks like a small spa area and is one of my favorite parts of the community. the water, the layout, the chairs, all of it feels calm and clean and honestly way nicer than what you expect from student friendly housing. the kitchens surprised me too. no microwave above the oven any more. they moved it to a lower spot that feels more chic and way easier to reach. the whole setup looks modern and simple in a way i did not expect when i first toured the place. the new parcel package room is super secure and makes picking up amazon stuff almost too easy. i never worry about anything going missing now. same with the bike storage. it is small things like that that make the whole place feel thought out. the business center is also fully redone and looks brand new with quiet spots to study or work. the new gym is clean with good equipment and feels like an actual fitness room instead of the usual basic apartment setup. the outdoor spaces got a full upgrade too. three new barbecues with granite counters, new outdoor furniture, cozy hammocks, and enough seating to actually enjoy the evenings. ✨ Mahogany ✨ is the manager and ✨ Jennifer ✨ is the assistant manager and both of them are honestly the best part of the experience. they always talk to you like a real person and solve things fast with a positive attitude. i always felt heard and supported which is rare for apartments. if you go to smu this place is almost perfect because of the location. it is close to campus, close to food, close to everything you need without feeling crowded. after living here i can say the updates plus the staff make this a place worth choosing. five stars without a doubt.

I really wanted to like these apartments, but I just don’t. I’m counting down the days until my lease ends so I can move out. The area is nice and the pool is great. Jennifer on staff is wonderful, but unfortunately, most of the other staff members come across as rude. Telling me to "be patient" on a matter that I was not aware of is unprofessional. I understand remodeling is happening, but I’ve had constant issues with my AC and now with the water pressure. On top of that, communication could be much better—it would be nice to receive email updates when things are going on so residents don’t have to keep putting in unnecessary maintenance requests. On top of that, elevators are constantly down, which I understand is not the new owners/managements fault, but they can also be a little more caring on the matter. Please be cautious before moving in.

Absolutely the Worst Living Experience — Stay Away until construction is done! Since this property was acquired by new management and buyers, my family and I — including our infant child — have been forced to endure an absolutely miserable living situation. There is non-stop construction happening directly outside my window, above my head, and beside my walls. To make matters worse, the unit directly in front of mine is also under noisy remodeling. From sunrise to sundown, we are surrounded by jackhammers, drilling, shouting — a level of chaos that makes it impossible to rest, think, or even have a conversation in peace. When I reached out to the office in desperation to ask what could be done, their only “solution” was to move us to another unit — at a higher rent — where we might experience slightly less noise. No compensation, no consideration for the fact that we are one of the only units being hit this hard by the disruption. Their message was essentially: pay more to suffer slightly less. To any future residents: do not be fooled. This construction has no posted timeline and no end in sight. The pool has been closed for months. The elevator next to our unit has been broken for months, and the remaining ones break down randomly and frequently — without warning or urgency to repair. The office’s repeated “apologies” are sincere, but hard to receive when the company leaves little to no room for action to follow. This experience has not only been a violation of Texas Tenant laws — which protect our right to peace and quiet — it has been emotionally exhausting, infuriating, and deeply disappointing. My home was supposed to be a safe and comfortable place for my family. Instead, it’s been a construction site we are paying to suffer in. If I could upload more than pictures I would. I wouldn’t wish this nightmare on anyone.
