Update: Paul, the current manager here forged my initials on an official document less than two years ago. The university stated no harm was caused so no record correction, though they admitted Paul forged my initials. I reported externally to multiple channels today. I see from previous reviews that I’m not the only one complaining about the residence manager Paul. I’ve been living here for 9 years and had a few interactions with him, and none of them were positive. The first few times I thought it was just he was in a bad mood, but it’s impossible that he’s in a bad mood all the time, so it is just his unprofessionalism. This guy keeps contradicting his own words and even once put my initials on official documents without my consent. If he ever does anything that is not strictly mentioned in the contract but slightly nice, even though it would require minimal effort from him, he would act like he did you a huge favor. The apartment management should know that he would be one of the first few people some new students would interact at A&M, and at least a generally friendly manner would be expected. The apartment itself is good. Close to campus and has a lot to offer. Maintenance used to be quick and reliable, but it took them a month to fix my wall and change the dishwasher that was not functioning well, so it’s getting worse. I would give a 5 star rate 3 years ago, but not anymore.

Gardens apartmenr single handedly makes me regret coming to TAMU already. At night, a nearby miniature golf-course (popstroke) plays very loud music until 12 am everyday, making you feel like you are sleeping inside a club bathroom. Because of this I have gotten more nightmares in the past week than my entire life. Basketball court is unusable with nets missing, water fountain broken, and big mud puddle awaiting to ruin your ball and your day. Apartment is very dirty as they do not get cleaned when residents leave. For the price you are paying at the gardens, you can get much cleaner apartment that is actually decent, has a swimming pool, and within close proximity.

Moved out last semester. Let’s start off with the good parts first: mostly clean (well sorta), proximity to main campus is great, bus stops are neat, and you can order in maintenance whenever for whatever. Ok now let’s see what’s not so great: cockroaches that fly and infest and are the size of two giant almond M&Ms stuck together (I admit this isn’t really the apartment’s fault but boy do I hate these critters), sometimes very slow responding or even rude maintenance/front desk, really obnoxiously loud ventilation system that seriously had me waking up most nights, neglected during the summer (when I first moved in, the stove, bathtub, and lights all had major issues that took a long time to be fixed, NOT cool), and probably worst of all they even censored residents who complained about such things to not lose any other residents to better apartments (yikes!). It does its job mostly but there most certainly are better options out there.

The apartments are very near to the Zachary and ETB buildings. Very close to McDonald's and taco bell. Convenient for engineering students, but far from the west campus. The rooms are very good. Apartment service is also good. Has an open access lab for students, volleyball court, basketball court etc. Fully furnished. One bed per bedroom, sofa set, table and chairs, refrigerator, oven , dishwasher etc are included. Common laundry.

I lived here for two years in two different apartments (a two bedroom and then I down sized to a one bedroom) and both were wonderful. Both had A/C issues, but they were always prompt about fixing it the day after I sent in a request. They're a nice easy walk from campus which was amazing and with a bus right here for rainy and lazy days. They do however have a very dorm room like feel. Not a downside per se, but it was a bit of a negative for me. Nice furniture, nice apartments though, a wonderful place to stay for the price. Very quite, good atmosphere.
