U Centre at Northgate

Absolutely terrible staff, reported to @riotgames they dont care about their people living there at all!!!

Moving back into a dorm after my experience here. Maintenance will ignore it when you tell them that they don’t have permission to enter while you’re not home :(

BEWARE future renters! I would not recommend this place to anyone and a 1 star rating is way too nice. Our child signed a 10 month lease (Academic) in November, then less than a week later, management emailed her and stated that they were "sold out" of 10 month leases. Then they pressured her into signing a 12 month lease under the guise that they "will add you to our waitlist, so you'll be the first to know if any more Academic Term leases become available", and they would then swap her back to the 10 month lease. If not, they could not guarantee her a lease at that time. Undenounced to her, 4 months later the 4th roommate signed a 10 month lease... and at no time was she notified the 10 month leases were available. Our child was NEVER notified that she would be able to swap back to the 10 month lease as stated in the previous email from management. We spoke with the current manager as well as the main customer service a few times and were told they would make it right. it has now been over 3 weeks and have not heard back from either via phone or email. Beyond this issue, when we moved her in the place, it was horrendously nasty. Pictures were sent to the office just after move in and surprise, there was no response. It was not cleaned prior to move in. Air filters were not changed and they claimed that we had to request them to be changed. Walk thru gates do not work. People were squeezing through the exit drive through gate since the middle gate did not work. This is a very big safety concern from a parents perspective. The so called 24/7 on-call staff are not very attentive even when emergencies arise. They reported a burning electrical smell on a Friday and we were told it was probably the dishwasher and to just turn off the breaker. They didn't seem too concerned about it. It wasn't until Monday that maintenance came to look at it. Turns out the some of the wiring in the breaker box were melted/burnt according to the technician that was there. It's sad that u Centre does not even follow the Aggie code of honor.

The call box (used to open the gate) hasn't worked for AT LEAST the past 3 months. We have asked them to fix it every week. If you have friends, do not live here.

DO NOT LIVE HERE!! The management is rude and not timely with fixing issues around the property. Don't be fooled by the abundance of 5 stars that are future residents trying to win a giveaway or get a discount on their rent. If you ever plan on having anyone come over, don't bother cause they will not fix the gates and your guest will be left stranded outside of the complex. GO DOWN THE STREET AND PAY THE SAME PRICE TO LIVE IN A NICER APARTMENT WITH ACTUAL CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

Denise provided a very informative tour. She was friendly, deeply knowledgeable about the building's amenities, and took the time to answer all of our questions patiently. She is a fantastic representative for the community and made a great first impression.

Cassidy and the rest of the staff have been quick, professional, and accomodating. Work orders get filled quickly too!

Our tour with Cole at the U center was great and very informative. He was very friendly and answered any question I had. He made it feel very welcoming and definitely a place I want to live at.

Nice place just off campus

Worst customer service ever. The office is constantly closed so if you work a 9-5 you will never get your package. What's even worse is the "on call" numbers that are supposedly available 24/7 will not answer even after 37 calls. They come in to do service checks and will lock you out of your own apartment then proceed to not answer because as usual, the office will be closed. They also do lots of things to "encourage" good reviews so don't believe what you read.

Lived at U Centre for 3 years while attending A&M for Engineering, and it exceeded my expectations. Staff are always super nice, very helpful, and a joy to deal with. Maintenance (though rarely needed) is similarly responsive and non-intrusive. Amenities are very well taken care of (gym, pool, grills). Mail & packages are super easy to get/deal with. AC/heat works well, floors are easy to clean, appliances are updated & are quickly replaced when broken. Units themselves are well designed and feel very nice (crown molding is hard to come by in CStat!). One complaint there is that the kitchens are set back from the windows and makes it dark, so make sure to get some under-cabinet lights online. Rooms are spacious enough, have bare minimum furniture (but not much extra needed, but get more lighting). Bathrooms are good. Invest in rugs/carpets and lighting and this apartment will feel very homey. TLDR: It's expensive, but especially for North/East campus-goers, I can't recommend it enough.

Rooms are fine, but management is awful. Our washing machine has been broken for a month, and we have repeatedly asked to get it fixed and submitted multiple service requests and none are getting fulfilled. Went up to front desk and asked management multiple times to fix, and nothing has been done. edit: the replacement laundry machine (that was installed around 2 months after the initial request) is also broken, and they have still not fixed it. I had to go to a coin laundromat to do my laundry. Don’t live here, they don’t care about you. Once you’ve signed the lease, you are on your own.

The apartment was nice and conveniently located near the campus. However, be aware that they charge for various things when you move out. To avoid unexpected fees, I recommend taking detailed photos of your room, common areas, and even the walls. Despite staying for only two months, I was charged for issues with the paint that I did not cause.

Maximus H, one of the employees of Ucentre, impressed me with his dedication to service. He appears to have bottomless empathy and kindness for those with requests and complaints.

I stayed there over the summer. Amenities were excellent and the administration was very helpful. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Maximus H. gave me a tour and was always very helpful when i needed help or had any inquiries.

I have lived at the UCentre for a little over a year now, and I have had very minimal issues. The location is convenient, and the staff are super helpful and friendly. One man in particular that has always been helpful and never fails to bring a smile to my face is Maximus. He's always willing to help out with anything, and always brings a positive vibe wherever he goes!

I love living here. It has amazing amenities and the location cannot be beat. Maximus is always such a great help whenever I need something from the front office such as a package or a work order placed! He is always friendly and full of energy, and happy to help with whatever issue I have.

I’ve been looking for a new apartment and went to take a tour here. The facilities look amazing, and my tour guide Maximus was absolutely incredible. He was hilarious, knowledgeable, and overall very kind. I will definitely be considering moving here.

The dryer in my child's apt has not worked since move in last month. The dryer vent needs to be cleaned out which their maintenance department cannot do. We told they had to use a of site laundry and bring in their receipts. This has been going on over three weeks and they today told me that they have to get bids. That this was a top priority for them but really it isn't since this is a fire hazard and going on over three weeks. Totally useless help for the main office. They give the run around and are fine with doing that.

This is a great property that cares about their residents. Walker and Aedan were always especially helpful and friendly :)

I absolutely loved staying there. The location is perfect! All the staff members are super nice and helpful. This one time I paid my rent a little late so it ended up adding late fees, but upon requesting they removed it as a courtesy. The amenities are nice, and the maintenance was quick. However, I think the rent is going up very quickly. If they can keep the rent a little low, this place worth 6 Stars!

The entire staff greeted us on the 1st time we stepped onto the property. Made my son feel welcomed from day 1. Now, Maximus, is part of the team. All work so well and make you feel like family. Maximus has become an asset to the company and work family.

For the most part, a great place to live. However, the gates are broken or damaged 90% of the time and sometimes they don't get fixed.

Lived here for 2 semesters now, very well kept up, great front office and amazing communication. Gated, visitor parking, and anything you could need. Also on northgate and close to campus.

I love U Centre! The whole property is gorgeous and its close to campus. The office staff and maintenance are always friendly and helpful!

If you have classes anywhere near Zach or in the East Quad, I highly recommend this place for student living. The front desk member Walker is very friendly and always answers my variety of questions!

Literally everything breaks down. Gates work half of the time. Some gates are even welded shut and can’t be used. Rent is way too high for the service’s quality. Don’t live here…

I would recommend UCentre to undergraduate engineering students! It is very close to campus in regards to engineering buildings and faith-related buildings such as the Islamic Center of BCS and apartment support are very timely and informative. Caroline and Kora at the front desk are very friendly and helpful! I’m currently a graduate student in chemical engineering and have also lived here as an undergraduate.

The community is well maintained and our kid had no issues. The main issue is that when you move out expect to receive a bill for hundreds of dollars! Although we cleaned the apartment from top to bottom and scrubbed everything we got charged for so many things that don’t make sense. We didn’t put any holes in the walls and got charged for that. We got charged for painting the room and there wasn’t any flaws in the walls. If you decide to live here, keep in mind you will owe a lot when you move out no matter what!! Some people hired professional cleaners and still got charged! With as much as college costs these days every little bit helps. We have rented from several places while my kids were college and always received our deposit back.

I lived at U Centre for two years and, frankly, it was a test of patience. Maintenance? They’d show up after a few days, and more often than not, their “fixes” were band-aids that didn’t last. We often found ourselves sweating it out without consistent air conditioning. Between the first and second year, U Centre decided to pull a fast one on us and cut off cable. Their excuse? “Marginal” internet improvements, which honestly weren’t worth the trade-off. But the real slap in the face was this year. They jacked up the rent to a level that’s just unreasonable. When my roommates and I decided we’d had enough and chose to leave, the management became pushy, almost bordering on aggressive. Oh, and let’s not forget the cherry on top: random “cleaning” fees slapped onto our bill, even though I’d been away for months on an internship and had already settled everything with the staff. In a nutshell: Think twice before renting at U Centre. It might just save you a lot of headaches.

I think the high ratings are because the property is well maintained, and they have nice amenities like the pool, gym, and community house. However, prices are unreasonable. Rents going up to $1300 a month, per person, for a 4 bed/4 and a half bath. Also, moving out is a nightmare. The lease for the spring semester doesn’t end until July, classes end in May, and there’s nothing you can do. So I was stuck paying for the last 2 months rent when I wasn’t living there. Same situation for multiple friends also living at U Center who got summer jobs or internships. Lastly, after having bedrooms and bathrooms cleaned, the entire place vacuumed, and entire kitchen wiped down, myself and two of my roommates are all being charged hundreds of dollars each for cleaning fees. DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU HAVE OTHER OPTIONS.

I love U Centre at Northgate! The property is always kept clean, offers great amenities, and best of all, the staff is amazing and so helpful!

It has been very nice living here. I have no complaints except that it is a little expensive.

An absolutely wonderful property! I lived here for my junior and senior year and absolutely loved it, me and my buddies all signed for a 4 bedroom and it was super cool. It’s really close to campus, the staff is absolutely delightful (especially management) and was incredibly helpful with any issues that we had. Would recommend for anyone in the future!
