The Halston

When people say not to live here they’re not lying. My partner and I moved here last summer and the staff were very friendly and we toured with a man named dean who told us we were getting a newley renovated united. He was kind and we were very excited. We move in about a month after and the unit is neither renovated no cleaned properly. we stuck it out. About a week or so after moving in my partner and I are doing laundry and the temp in our apartment will not drop under 80 degreee. I know texas gets hot but never that hot. The maintenance comes out (claims to look at our ac unit and laundry unit) and says to just not do laundry when the sun is up. whatever we stuck it out. A couple months go by and my partner and i begin to notice dark stains on our clothes. we later find out these stains are coming from the washer. I put in a maintenance order and after nearly a month and after calling they “put in a bid for a washer” after another month it finally gets installed after calling and finding out they had it in storage. great. I have to put in another work order because my partner decided to take off the vents and clean them and notice mold! I call to put in a work order and maintenance just swaps out the old vents for new ones. Does not clean the system, does not inspect AC unit for what could be causing it. simply swaps out the old ones for new ones. i have asthma. Come to find out only after buying tools from lows and opening the panel to the register (which was bolted shut for god knows why). there is a leak in the ac unit which is not cooling and hit a 78 high. Called maintenance and to them nothing wrong with a leaking AC unit which is most likely causing mold in the vents. Of course that isn’t an emergency. overall the staff is kind enough, the maintenance is horrible, mold everywhere, half of the machines in the gyms don’t work, and you’ll be lucky to have no roaches in your new apartment! the only reason it gets two stars is because Dean has even one of the most professional and kind people i’ve had the pleasure of speaking to.

Maegan was absolutely FANTASTIC at helping us find the perfect fit for our little family. Relocating to a new town in your 30's can be a little scary, and with all the different complex options I was feeling a little intimidated. Upon meeting with Maegan she showed us to 5 different available units that matched what we were looking for in one way or another. I was dead set on settling for one of the less expensive, smaller, remodeled ones. They were all lovely and had their own perks, however, after seeing the townhouses there was no turning back for me. She made me feel comfortable and confident in my decision. Her knowledge of not only the complex, but each individual unit, was incredibly impressive. She was very helpful with the application process and timely in her responses. If I couldn't tell how much she loved this job I would try to convince her to come work for me. This complex has something for everyone. Whether you're single, or a growing family they have the perfect space options. 10/10 would recommend. We cant wait to finally move in and have the chance to call this our home ❤️

From the very first tour to move in day, my experience at this community has been amazing. The property manager was incredibly welcoming, professional, and responsive, which made the entire application and approval process smooth and stress free. Move in was organized and seamless, and any questions I had were answered quickly. It’s clear the team genuinely cares about residents and takes pride in the property. I’m so happy with my decision to move here and would highly recommend this community to anyone looking for a great place to call home. As someone who moved due to noisy neighbors, I will say The Halston is very quiet! So glad to live in a community that genuinely feels like home! Update: I’ve lived here for 3 months now. The office staff is by far the most friendliest people to handle any issues or to even chat with. They have dog treats for my Sadie and love giving her attention. Lesley Seth and Maegan are awesome!
