Update to response received: You first investigate before you accuse people of doing something illegal regardless of complaints. You don’t threaten people with a lease violation until you have proof of the offense. The odor was coming from garage/stairwell but because her apartment is near and she didn’t answered the door it was assumed it was coming from hers. Original post: Today my daughter received a call from the leasing manager being accused of something she had nothing to do with. It was a serious allegation. They told her she was receiving a lease violation. After the courtesy officer went to check the situation, it was deemed my daughter was not involved. Last time I checked you are innocent until proven guilty. I guess that is not the case at Global College Station. This was the icing to the cake! We have had nothing but bad experiences since she moved there! I am not one to post reviews like this, but enough is enough! From her apartment being left unlocked during the winter maintenance for over two weeks while she was at home to it not being ready when she moved in. We thought it would be a good idea to put her there because it was a brand new apartment complex. Instead we spent 3 to 4 hours cleaning it the day she moved in because it was dirty. We found an empty beer can, broken light fixtures, dirty microwave plate, disgusting bathtub and more. I have pictures to support all this. This apartment complex is a joke! I hate that my daughter has had to go through this because I’m the one who chose this place! I hope, for future residents they figure it out. This apartment complex has so much potential with the right management.

Updated review after the complex has responded: now they are just flat out lying, and I would like to provide my own clarifying points to ensure the issue is depicted ACCURATELY. Their website listed that 1 spot was available and most people would assume this meant 1 unit, however this meant 1 bedroom was available (we were told this after signing for our lease). Additionally, we were told that even if we wanted that room we could not have it due to the room already having a boy assigned to it and per policy they are not allowed to room a male and female in the same unit. Which would have been fine, except for the fact we had to put in an application to recieve the lease in the first place and within that application both me and my roomated listed we were female, so why would we be offered the lease to begin with if we were not allowed to be roomed with that indivdual. Additionally, the leasing manager donna even told me over the phone they were unable to give one of us the room even if she wanted to due to this gender policy. Additionally, we were NEVER given the option to stay in the original floor plan we signed for with the agreed upon rate, and if the company stands by this I will proceede with picture evidence of our communication efforts. Original post: If I could rate this place zero stars I would. We signed a lease for a unit we wanted. They then called us to let us know the unit is no longer available even though we already signed the lease. We were offered another unit that was 200 sq feet smaller, did not have a balcony like we originally intended, did not have a pantry, had less cabinets, and was being offered at a rate that would loose the company $130 a month. We requested in exchange a unit that was still smaller but only by a few sq feet and asked to have it at the original price we signed for which would cost the company only $30 a month. Truly devastating that they would not be corporative with us or give us a deal that was of equal value. When asked why we were being reprimanded for something that was the companies fault they had no answer.

I really love living here! Every time I put in a maintenance request, the team is so fast and helpful, and issues normally get resolved right away. The only two things I’ve noticed are that my ethernet port randomly stopped working and still hasn’t been fixed, and there’s no fan in the bathroom, which feels like it could cause condensation problems after showers. Other than that I’ve had a great experience so far

I’ve had a great experience living at Global College Station. The apartments are clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. The staff is friendly, helpful, and quick to respond to any issues that come up. Overall, it’s been a reliable and enjoyable place to live—I would definitely recommend it to others.

Living here has been extremely disappointing. The thermostats randomly stop working, and the apartment gets unbearably hot for hours. When you submit a maintenance request, they won’t show up for a week, and then you suddenly get an email saying “maintenance completed” even though nothing was actually fixed. Their marketing is completely misleading. Whatever they advertise, the reality is usually the opposite. The fire alarm goes off every 3–4 days, sometimes during the night. It’s so frequent that residents don’t even take it seriously anymore. There are insects in the corridors, and the overall maintenance of the property is poor. It’s also far from campus, and the bus service they constantly brag about is a small bus that arrives only every 40 minutes. They claim transportation is convenient, but the truth is this: the bus only runs until 6:30 PM. So if you have a lab, class, or exam that ends later, you are stuck paying for Uber. I’ve personally spent around $100 this semester because all my exams ended at 7 PM. The on-site shuttle is not much better — it stops around 4 PM, which is completely useless for students with normal schedules. Recreation here is almost nonexistent. There’s a tiny gym with limited equipment and a pool — that’s it. No game room, no table tennis, no pool table, none of the amenities other student apartments provide. Bottom line: Avoid this place. Terrible maintenance, misleading advertising, constant fire alarms, poor transportation, and barely any amenities. You can find much better options for the same price or less.
