I came in for a tour with Emily, and I can definitely say it was one of my best while looking for somewhere near campus! The tour was extremely informative, and the size of the units are great!! She was VERY clear with pricing and I was very clear on my price range. I’m happy we found a few options for me, and look forward to returning before my classes start!

I’ve personally had a good experience living at Cherry Street! I haven’t had any problems with maintenance or staff, the office is closed on weekends but the emergency maintenance number is still available so it’s fine.

This is, hands down, the worst living experience I have ever had. If you value your sanity, your property, or even just basic respect, avoid this place at all costs. The garage gate is constantly broken and management never bothers to fix it. The garage itself is filthy—white dust falls everywhere, covering cars in grime no matter how often you clean. I have lost count of how many times my important mail has been lost or mishandled, including critical government documents and school letters. Packages are routinely misplaced, delivered to the wrong people, or outright stolen. There is zero accountability. Management here is a revolving door. Staff change so frequently that you never know who you’re talking to, and no one ever takes responsibility for anything. Communication is a nightmare—your requests and complaints are ignored, and even after countless follow-ups, absolutely nothing gets done. Their favorite move is to pass blame, make excuses, and do nothing. Maintenance is appallingly slow and careless—they don’t read notes, and have barged into my unit without warning or permission. There is no sense of safety or respect for tenants’ privacy. If you think things will improve with persistent communication, think again. Every problem is met with empty promises, endless excuses, and total inaction. Living here means dealing with chaos, neglect, and complete disregard for your needs. Do yourself a favor—look elsewhere. There are far better places in town that actually care about their residents.

Utter chaos and disorganization!!! This place is run with astonishing disorganization and complete disregard for tenant rights. Two years ago, I reported an unwanted sofa left in my apartment to the leasing office. A female staff member promised to document my request, and a male staff member physically removed the item from my unit. I trusted their word and assumed professionals would do their job. Now, during move-out, management claims there is “no record” and is threatening to charge me for missing furniture that THEY removed. This is not just incompetence—it’s a complete failure of basic management and an outright disregard for tenant rights and fairness. Residents should not be forced to pay for the leasing office’s own internal negligence and broken promises. Choose somewhere else if you value your sanity and security. This is the worst example of property management I have seen in the US.

With negligent and irresponsible management, a four-month long ceiling leak, lack of communication, and a disregard for health and safety, I would not recommend anyone to sign a lease at Cherry Street Apartments. For how costly these apartments are, they are horribly maintained and management is unprofessional and negligent. Firstly, on the day of my move-in and lease start date, my bedroom ceiling was leaking water. Cherry Street Apartment's solution was to drill holes in my ceiling, haphazardly paint over said holes (while leaving paint stains on my ceiling fan, carpet, and in our kitchen sink. The manager, Mike Andrews, seemed incredibly flippant about this serious issue and has continuously given me excuse after excuse. Now, FOUR MONTHS LATER, there is water leaking out of my ceiling and ceiling fan once again. The water stains on my ceiling have grown and there is a crack that spans more than half the length of my room across the ceiling. Moreover, there are now water stains and cracks outside my bedroom, including above the ceiling fan in my living room. There are parts where the ceiling is bulging as well – if there is ever a significant storm, I’m sure the ceiling could collapse in. This signals to me that there were never steps taken to repair the leak throughout the four months I have lived here. Meaning, Cherry Street’s management has purposefully kept information from me, misled me, and risked my health and safety. Considering that mold also tends to form within 24 hours of any water damage, and this is a repair issue that has allowed water to pool above my ceiling for months… this is highly irresponsible and downright dangerous. Despite how serious the issue with a ceiling leak is, Cherry Street Apartments have been incredibly incompetent with their handling of this repair with zero communication (unless initiated by me first) and no concern for the safety of their paying residents. Not only is this incredibly negligent, but also poses a serious risk to health and safety given the risks to water getting in electrical writing (fire hazards, anyone?) and the possibility of mold. Furthermore, my unit (a 2x2 Reveille) has had numerous repair issues occur throughout just the few months my roommate and I have lived here. Not only did it take them months to repair these issues (and a email to the manager who claimed that this was the first time he was being made aware of any of these issues when he’s the MANAGER…it’s his responsibility to supervise his staff), but my maintenance requests were marked complete without ever addressing the issues. Now, with my ceiling and ceiling fan leaking water AGAIN, there are likely going to be more issues with the ceiling fan and quite possibly the wiring and electrical of my bedroom as well. Moreover, our garbage disposal and dishwasher did not work for months, nearly all of the sockets in our kitchen did not work, the smoke alarms in my unit had been beeping intermittently for weeks likely due to battery or repair issues… and more. However, minor repair issues and management issues are one thing, but a ceiling leak that has taken 4+ months to fix, water damage, maintenance requests getting closed out without repairs, and a manager that will sit on his hands and willingly let his tenants suffer serious risks to health and safety is completely different. Parents, students, anyone who is considering living at Cherry Street – please do yourself a favor and take your money elsewhere. There are much better apartments out there for much, much cheaper. Cherry Street Apartments are not worth the cost – both monetary and to your health, safety, and wellbeing – nor are they worth the headache.
