I’m extremely disappointed with how my daughter was treated. She was told to wait because “the application system was down,” and she trusted that information. She waited exactly as instructed, only to find out later that the rate she was promised was given to someone else while she was still waiting for them to fix their own system issue. That is completely unprofessional and shows a serious lack of communication, organization, and basic respect for people’s time. What makes this experience even worse is that they never took responsibility. Instead of being honest from the beginning or giving her a fair chance once the system was back up, they moved forward with someone else and acted like nothing happened. I followed every direction they gave her, and still ended up being the one who lost out because of their mistakenot hers. If a place can’t manage applications, communicate clearly, or stand by what they promise, how can anyone trust them with something as important as housing? Situations like this make people feel misled and dismissed, and it reflects very poorly on the professionalism of the staff and the management. I would strongly caution anyone considering this property to pay close attention to how they handle your information and their own processes. A business that cannot maintain transparency or consistency during the application stage is very likely to cause even bigger problems later on.

I moved in at the start of this semester, and while I really enjoy my room, it’s spacious with great natural light. However, I’ve run into several issues that pushed me to write this review. First, the elevators have been out of service nearly every week. I usually park my 90-pound bike in the designated garage area, but with the elevators constantly broken, I had no choice but to leave it outside. It was stolen the very next day. The trash chutes are another problem. They frequently get clogged, and since I live on the 2nd floor right by them, the overflowing garbage has attracted gnats into my apartment. On top of that, we’ve had multiple leaks in our sink. It took several maintenance requests before the issue was finally resolved. For the amount we pay, I expected much better. The management here does not seem to reflect the standards of a company that advertises itself as well-run.

Sure the staff is nice, but the building is NOT. It’s been miserable living here all year long. The elevator was broken down for months, which itself should be an extreme ADA violation. Just when you think your life is going back to normal, the elevator breaks down once again and who knows when it will ever work again. Let’s talk about taking the stairs in that case. Dried up PUKE was pushed around and now smells rancid after sitting in the stairwell since sometime last year around the time that I moved in late August. It wasn’t until around April/May of this year they fixed the garage gate. I pay $250 for a RESERVED parking space every single month. They have allowed random people, their own vendors, and even their own staff to park in MY reserved parking space since I moved in. Last but certainly not least, let’s talk about the MOLD problem. All of my roommates and myself have found mold all around the windows of your rooms. The staff said that we need to clean it up ourselves and suggested bleach. Bleach did not work for the mold I had on my windows, and after submitting a maintenance request I come home to find it PAINTED over instead of dealt with. I can’t explain the amount of frustration I feel towards this complex and I urge you to second guess what they tell you about living here at the Corner. It is most certainly NOT worth the price or the emotional baggage. I wish they gave me my money back after fighting for months for justice for these issues, but I’m sure all residents here know how stingy Yugo will continue to be.

I lived at The Corner from August 2021-July 2024. It wasn’t perfect, but overall I loved living here. The front desk and maintenance teams were always friendly and mostly on top of any issues. We did have some mold problems that were only half-addressed unfortunately, but I think if you make a bigger deal about it than we did, they will take care of it better—they’re great people, just busy I’m sure. The roommate matching here is fantastic, I had 7 roommates over 3 years and I loved them all. It’s a little far from campus but that never bothered me because there’s a bus stop right in front of the building, plus I think it keeps the rent a bit more affordable. My first year there we had bed bugs, and because they had to fumigate the apartment, they reimbursed us for the hotels we had to stay in. They never charged me any fees that I wasn’t expecting. When I transferred apartments last year, they were very clear about instructions and provided a big cart to move my stuff around in, it was a very smooth process. They have a lot of cute little community events. You can use the gyms at the Ruckus buildings, although it’s a bit annoying that you can only go during office hours. Elevators went down a few times but not crazy often, halls and stairwells were clean enough, trash chutes were sometimes clogged but it really only becomes a problem during move-in and move-out. There’s a security guard who hangs out after hours which is cool. The patio on the 2nd floor patio and courtyard are super nice, although if you’re living in one of the apartments next to the courtyard (as I did) it can get a little loud. Thanks for everything :)

Lived here for a bit, it was 100% the best apartment complex I've lived in Austin / wampus. The staff and maintaince team is super nice. Joseph and Reina were super helpful with questions. The view of my apt was also amazing. If you're looking for housing on wampus definitely live here. It was the best decision I ever made :)
