Windsor South Congress Apartments

The price and location is pretty good for Austin prices. Shout out to Gerardo for going above and beyond on fixing my maintenance request and so fast! His rapid response and help makes living at Windsor so much easier and worth it. I live in building 2 and would recommend to others.

We constantly had issues with our AC every 3 months or so. In March it stopped working again and they could never get it back working to full capacity, but instead of replacing it they just gave us a portable unit that was plugged into the wall that we had to use for 9 months until we finally moved out. The reviews on this place are so inflated because maintenance asks you to leave them a 5 star review with their name in it anytime they help you so they can get a bonus. We paid the cleaning fee to make move out easier, but they still charged us damages for repainting when that should be normal wear and tear at a 5 year old apartment. When I had a package stolen from the mail room, the office wouldn’t even look at a video tape and just told me to report it to the delivery service. So glad I don’t have to deal with this poor management anymore.

I’ve had no heat in my apartment since Dec 9. I contacted management multiple times, and they told me to submit a request through their portal—but the portal doesn’t handle urgent issues like this. My apartment remains cold and unsafe, and no real action has been taken. Residents deserve to know what living here can be like in the winter. There is a snowstorm in 3 days and they still have not fixed my heater. Austin is in a local state of disaster and this apartment can’t figure it out.

We have met great people working at this building community and Gerardo is one of them. We have seen him around the building several times and he is always very kind and genuine. Ge recently changed the AC filter in our unit and did a great job. He cleaned around the maintenance unit and the area to make sure everything was as before he got there.

We recently moved here and the maintenance team is amazing! We put in a request this week for minor wall repairs and paint. Gerardo did a great job with everything. Apartment remained clean and he also adjusted a couple of doors. We are really happy with this kind of service and awesome attitude.
