I’ve been here for almost 2 years now, and while like any place there are issues it’s gotten much better. I wanna credit most of this to the new property manager Leslie. She along with her staff definitely go above and beyond and I just wanted to give a little shoutout!

Loved living here, The office staff was always helpful, and quick to respond, and the maintenance team went above and beyond to keep everything running smoothly. The amenities are top-notch, everything is clean and well-maintained. Easily one of the best apartment complexes in Austin!

My name is Brad. Nice to meet you. Here’s my review of the initial experience of getting housed by Verde. 👏 The right to housing is a highly political and controversial subject in today’s climate; being able to get help after going homeless is an arduous, annoying and way too complicated process that seems to rely completely on luck. From March 29 to April 9, I was without home for the first time. The reasons for it are just as arduous and equally my fault. Getting out of it was just a series of lucky breaks and choosing to ride it out, whatever may come from it. Leslie, Elton and the woman that showed me around when both were off, I’ll forever be grateful to them. The apartment Leslie and Elton moved me into was not exactly what I was looking for in my time of need but ironically was what I needed (how funny fate is sometimes, you know). The moment I stepped through the front door, I saw the potential of it. Imperfection with charm and the opportunity to make it my own, those are the key ingredients to a home for me. This is “home” and it’s my own to care for as a part of me; what stories shall fill its walls? These are the goals of my space using myself as the template. I’m an avid content creator; the walk in closet, cracked shelves and loose rod laden, an audio and video recording studio. I’m an experimental chef; the tiny kitchen, chipped counters and scratched walls, a laboratory for “unique” culinary combinations to hurl at my friends. I’m a needy, clingy and bratty child of a 36 year old; that living space, gargantuan and consuming like my hunger, ready to host game nights and laughter with the strangers I have yet to meet but shall claim as family. Here’s to living my best life in this safe space and navigating the unknown future.

Summary: Lived here three years. Place needs a serious face lift. Insides weren’t terrible. If you’re just trying to save money for a time and want to live somewhere barely tolerable this is the spot. Pros and Cons below. Pros: - Price is relatively affordable (but see below) - Close to AUS airport and downtown if you work there or want to have easy access to bars and restaurants - Close to Oracle and lady Bird Lake. Cons: - Area sucks. Lots of “fireworks” sounds at night. (But I guess I can’t blame them for that, this ones more of a heads up) - Power and especially water are spotty. Water will get cut often with little to no warning for emergency maintenance for the better part of the day. - Bugs are an inevitability(see pictures). Kept my apt spotless with a rigorous cleaning routine that included having it sprayed by pest control but roaches, spiders and other bugs always found their way in. - Washers and dryers are rarely working and when they are they don’t work very well. Whole laundry rooms will be out for months. Save time and treasure, go to a laundromat. - The building shifts on its foundation. This is evidenced by the door locks having to be realigned every summer and winter. - There WILL be loud music nightly just accept that and try to ignore it. Eventually you get used to it. - Property management WILL squeeze every dime from you on move-out so if you have a deposit there is a zero percent chance you’ll get it back. Regardless of cleanliness or the condition of the apartment (see my photos below and I still had to pay a “cleaning fee”). - For the same Price (if not cheaper) and Location there are several properties that are comparable (if not better) — Tree House Apartments ($1,100), Wild Creek Apartments ($899), Altura Apartments ($1,006), The Edison ($1099). Obviously these are published prices at time of writing.

Sewage leak that hasn't been fixed in months, roaches everywhere, broken glass and trash everywhere. Laundry rooms are always left open and filled with trash. There are dozens of better complexes within walking distance to this one. Don't move here
