I am an apartment locator and recently had the pleasure of working with Hamasah. She made the entire process smooth and helped my client find the right fit. We are both very appreciative of her help, and I look forward to working with this property again in the future.

was extremely pleased with the staff when renting and the size of my apartment for the cost. Use what you make up for on the cost of your apartment for some good insurance. I read reviews and changed to getting a $0 glass deductible but did not change my high comprehensive deductible (big mistake). On my second night here i couldn’t find parking near my building and I parked near the back gate where not only were my windows smashed but they also left me vehicle undriveable after failing miserably to hot wire it. Other tenants found me taking photos for my insurance and advised me that it happened to at least one other vehicle last night and that this is very common especially where i parked. you would hope if it is so consistently done in the same places the apartment would add lighting or cameras but it would appear that has yet to be done.

DO NOT MOVE HERE!! RUN FOR THE HILLS!!! I lived here for two years, and it was two years too long. Moving out was pure relief. Before I get into it, I want to give a huge shout out to Ms. Brenda. She is the most friendly and caring member of the staff, and the best part of my experience at The Mont. She’s also the reason for the majority of the five star reviews here, and is working overtime as The Mont’s PR team - give that woman a raise! TLDR; Car stolen, frequent car break-ins, broken gates/homeless people in the buildings, Ceiling caving in/leaking, roach infestation, car towed despite active parking permit. As for the reasons you should live literally anywhere else, I’ll try to be brief: 1. BAD SECURITY - Unchecked Car Theft/Break-ins: When my car was stolen from The Mont’s parking lot, I asked management to install cameras at the gates and around the property. Management told me it “wasn’t a widespread issue” and it didn’t warrant any action from them. (Email screenshots attached) Three of my neighbors had their cars broken into, another had a storage unit break-in alongside ANOTHER car theft. And these are just the ones I know about ! It’s not uncommon to walk through the parking lot and see cars with busted windows. The gates are faulty, and the codes on the wrought iron doors aren’t functional - Anyone can walk in. I’ve seen homeless people wandering the hallways in Building #1. Management claims the “security service” (which is an empty parked police car) and cameras around the leasing office (only capturing activity 3ft around the doorway) are sufficient. Crime happens in Austin, but the consistency and frequency of theft here is unique to The Mont, and truly nothing is done by management to acknowledge or prevent it. In total, I lost at least $18,600 in stolen property at this apartment complex. 2. Cheap infrastructure & Ceiling Caving In/Leaking: The worst leak was a 2 ft long crack in my living room that gushed disgusting brown water all over my couch and nice new rug. (Pics attached) Management had to send contractors to patch up my ceiling on four separate occasions bc they never addressed the root cause of the leaks. After the 3rd leak, I asked if management could move me into a different unit, and I was told I would need to pay a $300 transfer fee AND resign a new lease with a $125 base rent increase. Insane. Additionally, algae grows in the pipes, the floors are not level, and my A/C shut down MANY times over the summer. I wouldn’t be surprised if these buildings are slated to be demolished in three years time. 3. Cockroach infestation: HUGE ones. Almost key lime sized. Pest control came but there’s just too many to fight. 4. Predatory car towing: I had an active parking permit at The Mont, and management still towed me for an expired Texas State registration. Isn’t the purpose of hiring a towing service to ensure your residents have enough parking spaces? Not to police the state registration status of the people paying you rent? It was $350 to get my car back. 5. Lack of Care from Management: Unless you’re signing or renewing a lease, management couldn’t give you the time of day. Many apartments in Austin face similar problems like roach infestations, theft, badly maintained buildings, etc, but it’s the attitude and lack of basic care from Marco Guerrero and team that makes The Mont truly unlivable.

Marco Guerrero has been an extreme help in out move into these apartments. He has been very kind and has natural talent for customer service. He has given careful attention to my questions and had provided fast solutions. We have lived here 3 months and it has been an excellent choice.

DO NOT MOVE HERE – False Advertising & Horrible Management! I moved into The Mont on August 27, 2024, after relocating from Philadelphia to Austin, expecting a comfortable living experience with the promised amenities (lounge, business lounge, etc.). However, since November 2024, these amenities have been completely closed due to construction, and there is no progress or timeline for reopening them. On top of that, the construction noise starts as early as 8 AM, making it impossible to work from home without constant disruption. My father, who has been visiting, has struggled to recover from an illness due to the dust and noise, and management has done nothing to address this issue. Management refuses to acknowledge these issues and instead tries to charge an early termination fee even though they are not providing the services they advertised. This is nothing but false advertising and deceptive leasing practices. If you are considering moving here, DON’T. This place is a nightmare, and the management does not care about residents’ well-being. Save yourself the stress and look elsewhere!
