The Michael at Presidio

I lived in this apartment for 4 years. While the unit, location, and maintenance team were great, the management is unprofessional and disorganized. Over my stay, the staff changed constantly and the service declined every year. A perfect example: for 4 of my years here, only one treadmill in the gym ever worked. Every time I asked, they claimed 'someone is coming to fix it.' Eventually, they told me, 'We don't charge you for the gym anyway,' implying I shouldn't complain, even though they proudly show off the gym as a key amenity when you tour! Also, you can't use the business lounge for a small gathering without paying an extra fee, which is absurd. The worst part was moving out. I received a Move-Out Statement, and after I had some questions, they said they were going to update the bill. I then sent several emails to the office asking for that updated, final bill so I could pay it. They never gave me the updated bill. Instead of doing their jobs, Patricia and Katy in the office, along with Chris in Greystar’s Receivables department, ignored my outreach and sent a small $82 balance straight to a collection agency without ever giving me the bill to pay. It is an unfair and predatory practice to ignore a former resident's request to pay and instead destroy their financial reports. For any resident currently living here, be very careful when you move out and do not trust this office! For any future residents, I would not recommend this complex unless the leasing department fundamentally changes."

I lived at The Michael at Presidio for four years, and it truly feels like home to me. I have so many beautiful memories in this building. The atmosphere has always been warm, peaceful, and positive. The staff and management team are amazing — always kind, patient, and genuinely helpful. Whenever I had an issue, it was handled quickly and professionally. Maintenance requests were addressed fast, and the service team was always responsive and efficient. You could simply send an email and receive a prompt reply, which made everything so easy. The community is quiet, clean, and very well maintained. They also host great events that make you feel connected and welcomed. The gym is excellent, the business center is very convenient, and the views from the apartments are beautiful. I have a cat, and this community is truly pet-friendly. I had a lovely balcony where my cat loved spending time, and I’m sure these years were just as special for her as they were for me. If you have a pet — whether a dog or a cat — this is a wonderful place for both of you. I’m only moving because of a work relocation to California and changing states. Otherwise, I would have happily stayed here longer. I highly recommend The Michael at Presidio to anyone looking for a place with great energy, great management, and a truly comfortable living experience.

Super friendly apartment community and management/maintenance teams! Recently had john from Maintenance fix my kitchen sink— he did a A++ job and went the extra mile even though it was the end of his day! 10/10 would def recommend

I’ve had a great experience overall living at The Michael at Presidio. The apartment units are beautiful with updated appliances and finishings. The amenities like pool and gym are very nice; I don’t have a pet but the small dog park looks nice as well. I have had a great experience with the leasing staff as well. There are constant entertaining events, giveaways, and activities that the leasing office hosts and often collaborating with different food trucks or vendors and these make living here very exciting and fun. The only issues I’ve had would be that the bathroom next to the pool could be better maintained (missing soap, toilet paper, toilet doesn’t work properly), the gym doesn’t seem to be cooled properly (either fans or A/C doesn’t work right), and the stairwells of the apartment buildings can sometimes get pretty dirty either from bird feces, spills, trash, etc. and this could partly be corrected from tenants being more mindful not entirely the complex’s fault, however I do think they could use more cleaning. The entire complex was repainted a blue and white instead of the brown that was faded and I think the new blue paint looks very nice. I would definitely recommend living here if you don’t mind the minor things I mentioned.

Had a tour with the Haley! She’s the bomb. Great rates. Looking for a great place to live while in between selling my house from a different city to maybe buying one here (not with the current interest rate!) She is very welcoming, professional and cheerful which helps when you’re in a stressful moving decision-making state. The only reason I’m not staying is the security. But otherwise, better space and rate for your money. (I had better offer with a newer place.)
