We happened to be moving out right as the apartment complex brought in an entirely new office team, and honestly, meeting Brittany almost made me wish we weren’t leaving. From the start, Brittany was incredibly professional, kind, and genuinely helpful during our move out process. Moving can be stressful, especially during a transition at a property, but she made everything feel smooth, organized, and supported. She took the time to answer our questions, communicate clearly, and made sure we felt taken care of every step of the way. What stood out most is that Brittany truly seems to care about the residents and the future of the community. You can tell she and the new team are motivated and committed to making positive changes. It actually made leaving feel a little bittersweet because they seem so promising. The property is very lucky to have Brittany on their team. If the rest of the staff is anything like her, the community is definitely headed in a great direction.

Update February 28, 2026: I have called the office numerous times, left voicemails, sent several emails and visited the front office. I have yet to hear back from anyone so don't let their response below fool you. I’ve lived in 5 different cities and moved numerous times within those cities over the span of 15 years and this is by far the worst place I’ve ever lived in. There is nothing “luxurious” about living here. Issues I’ve encountered since moving in in June: - my car was wrongfully towed because their system wasn't updated correctly. I know of at least one other person who was in the similar circumstance. I've sent numerous emails, called and left messages, and visited the front office but I have yet to hear back from The Goodwin - lack of hot water (issue was resolved on and off for a couple of months) - fire alarms go off randomly - garage gate is out of service at least once a month - bugs inside apartments - terrible service for receiving and making calls - fob connection issues (you can use an app to log in). There was one door with fob issues that took them 4 months+ to resolve - inconsistent with large trash removal. There are rooms that lead to trash chutes that are filled with trash - broken drier and lack of communication and consistency as to how to resolve the issue And the list goes on and on. I’m looking into breaking my lease and cannot wait to move out. I wouldn’t recommend this apartment complex to ANYONE personally. I hope others haven’t had the experience I have had.

The Goodwin is such a pretty building and in a really great Austin location. It always feels clean, well taken care of, and has a good vibe overall. There’s clearly a lot of care and attention behind the scenes, and it shows. Would definitely recommend.

DO NOT MOVE HERE Fire alarms: The fire alarms go off daily for at least 2-3 months. As I work from home, the alarms have been utterly annoying to my work schedule, especially when I had to mute myself during important meetings. Air quality: The air in the hallway is horrendous. The prolonged maintenance work has left tons of dust and debris in the hallway. The lack of ventilation has aggravated the issue. Despite my multiple requests to fix and turn on the fans in the hallway, the maintenance team just ignored my requests. The corridors are full of pungent smell, and I have developed allergy from the poor air quality. Additionally, I need to spend time cleaning my shoes every time I am back to my apartment, due to the dust and debris along the hallway. The management could not care less about the mess of their own making. Pests: There have been recurring roaches and crickets in the hallway, including a dead roach right outside my door. Appliances: The light in my bedroom randomly turned on at 1-3am. I have been woken up while asleep for multiple days. This is hardly tolerable. DO NOT MOVE HERE! You will definitely thank me for this.

The Goodwin is one of the more unique apartment communities I’ve toured in East Austin — the design has personality, and it’s clear they’ve invested in creating a modern, boutique-style experience. The location is a great fit for renters who want to stay close to Mueller, Springdale, or downtown without the usual price tag. I’ve worked with several clients who ended up leasing here, and the feedback has been consistently strong — especially with the rental concessions and how helpful the leasing team is. Shoutout to Paige, who always goes the extra mile with following up and when I bring clients by or require a video of a different floor plan. As a licensed Texas apartment locator, I help renters compare options across Austin based on their needs, credit, and lifestyle. The Goodwin is a solid choice — especially if you’re looking for something a little more Austin and a little less cookie-cutter. Can't wait to try the Goodwin cocktail...when they finally release it:0
