This property generally offers a good living experience with spacious, modern units and a fantastic location close to downtown and walkable to many restaurants, coffee shops, and bars. Residents often highlight the excellent gym, large pool and hot tub, and the responsiveness of the maintenance team. However, some residents have reported ongoing concerns regarding security, including unsecured entry points and instances of package and vehicle theft, along with occasional issues with hot water availability and thin walls or floors.

Severe Security Risks and Negligent Management I strongly advise against renting at Starlight. Despite claiming that safety is their "number one priority," management's actions (and lack thereof) prove otherwise. The Reality of Living Here: • Unsecured Access: Exterior doors have remained unlocked for months, and the mailroom door has never functioned properly, leading to frequent package theft. • Zero Perimeter Control: Elevators lack a fob system, allowing anyone off the street to access residential floors unchallenged. • Vehicle Theft: Multiple cars have been stolen from the premises. • Performative Security: The "security patrol" is a joke, they briefly walk to the pool and leave without actually monitoring the grounds. Management Response: Greystar is completely apathetic. Every concern is met with rehearsed, AI-generated platitudes rather than actual solutions. There are far better, safer options just up the street in Mueller. Save yourself the stress and the safety risk, do not move here.

I would strongly caution anyone considering moving here. There has been constant theft in this community, including attempted break-ins, and management has done very little to address the situation. Residents have repeatedly raised safety concerns, but meaningful action has not followed. What’s especially frustrating is that there are clear, reasonable steps the property could take to improve security—for example, better access control—but these options don’t appear to be prioritized. As a resident, it’s discouraging to feel like safety isn’t being treated as a basic responsibility. If safety and responsiveness from management are important to you, I recommend looking carefully at other options before signing a lease here.

Theft, Attempted Break-In, and Management Silence Do not move here if you value your safety or your belongings! On Monday this week (01/19/26), an intruder roamed the apartment hallways stealing packages from residents’ doorsteps. That same intruder also attempted to walk directly into an apartment in the middle of the day. The only reason residents know what happened is because some people have personal door cameras that they purchased themselves. This is not an isolated incident. Package theft has been a severe ongoing problem. Management pushes residents to use Fetch and claims it prevents theft, but this does not work for people who work long hours, multiple jobs, or need time-sensitive deliveries. Despite repeated thefts and complaints, management has refused to install more cameras or take basic steps to improve security. Reports have highlighted financial relationships between large property management companies, including Greystar, and Fetch, so it certainly raises serious questions about whose interests are actually being prioritized. Yesterday, a resident put up signs around the complex warning others to lock doors, secure vehicles, and stay alert. By this morning, the signs were taken down. As of now, management has still not sent a single community-wide email acknowledging the thefts or the attempted break-in. What potential tenants and nearby visitors might see seems to matter more than the safety of the people who live here. This is an active security issue. Management is aware of it, but does not take actionable steps to make residents feel safer. If you move here, you can probably expect your packages to be stolen and little communication when something goes wrong. Additionally, be cautious when reading the hollow five-star reviews. Some clearly appear padded to offset negative feedback from residents who have raised repeated concerns over many months since Greystar took over the apartment complex. Management also has a habit of dismissing posts when they are made under different names instead of addressing the concerns, which further shows that resident safety and feedback are not being taken seriously.

I've lived at the Starlight since it opened in 2023. This place has had a roller coaster of issues and challenges; however, I must say after being open 2.5 years; and the current ownership and management on board the last 1.5 years, things have ironed out, and the rough days are over. This is the way I look at it; every apartment community (the physical structure) has it's pluses and minuses. Everyone has different needs and wishes. Overall, the Starlight has served me well and I've enjoyed it. Are there amenities that I wish the architects had planned differently; yes, but overall, I'm satisfied. The current management from my perspective does a good job. The front office staff is friendly; maintenance /grounds/housekeeping team are always pleasant and helpful. Common areas are well maintained and clean. Residents are promptly notified when issues arise. Management holds residents accountable for community expectations and rules. I would say to anyone considering coming here, this is a good choice. The location is fantastic; you can't beat it; such a great neighborhood. Walkable. A nice neighborhood feel. Close to downtown. At this point, all the kinks associated with a new building and new management have been ironed out. I've definitely enjoyed it here.
