Theft, Attempted Break-In, and Management Silence Do not move here if you value your safety or your belongings! On Monday this week (01/19/26), an intruder roamed the apartment hallways stealing packages from residents’ doorsteps. That same intruder also attempted to walk directly into an apartment in the middle of the day. The only reason residents know what happened is because some people have personal door cameras that they purchased themselves. This is not an isolated incident. Package theft has been a severe ongoing problem. Management pushes residents to use Fetch and claims it prevents theft, but this does not work for people who work long hours, multiple jobs, or need time-sensitive deliveries. Despite repeated thefts and complaints, management has refused to install more cameras or take basic steps to improve security. Reports have highlighted financial relationships between large property management companies, including Greystar, and Fetch, so it certainly raises serious questions about whose interests are actually being prioritized. Yesterday, a resident put up signs around the complex warning others to lock doors, secure vehicles, and stay alert. By this morning, the signs were taken down. As of now, management has still not sent a single community-wide email acknowledging the thefts or the attempted break-in. What potential tenants and nearby visitors might see seems to matter more than the safety of the people who live here. This is an active security issue. Management is aware of it, but does not take actionable steps to make residents feel safer. If you move here, you can probably expect your packages to be stolen and little communication when something goes wrong. Additionally, be cautious when reading the hollow five-star reviews. Some clearly appear padded to offset negative feedback from residents who have raised repeated concerns over many months since Greystar took over the apartment complex. Management also has a habit of dismissing posts when they are made under different names instead of addressing the concerns, which further shows that resident safety and feedback are not being taken seriously.

I've lived at the Starlight since it opened in 2023. This place has had a roller coaster of issues and challenges; however, I must say after being open 2.5 years; and the current ownership and management on board the last 1.5 years, things have ironed out, and the rough days are over. This is the way I look at it; every apartment community (the physical structure) has it's pluses and minuses. Everyone has different needs and wishes. Overall, the Starlight has served me well and I've enjoyed it. Are there amenities that I wish the architects had planned differently; yes, but overall, I'm satisfied. The current management from my perspective does a good job. The front office staff is friendly; maintenance /grounds/housekeeping team are always pleasant and helpful. Common areas are well maintained and clean. Residents are promptly notified when issues arise. Management holds residents accountable for community expectations and rules. I would say to anyone considering coming here, this is a good choice. The location is fantastic; you can't beat it; such a great neighborhood. Walkable. A nice neighborhood feel. Close to downtown. At this point, all the kinks associated with a new building and new management have been ironed out. I've definitely enjoyed it here.

I lived at Starlight for 2 years and had a great experience. The building is new with fantastic amenities: a modern gym, pool, hot tub, and rooftop lounge. The property management and maintenance teams are very helpful and responsive. The building is in a great spot in Austin; it's very centrally located and easy to get anywhere from there. You're walking distance to lots of great restaurants, coffee shops, and bars. There's a really good Mexican restaurant in the building too. If I had to do it all over, I would definitely choose to live at Starlight again.

Love this place. The apartments are nice and clean. Love the views of the city skyline. The staff were awesome, especially Mackenzie! She took us to 3 different units. She was super knowledgeable and transparent about everything. I could tell she genuinely loves the area and community. She even gave some restaurant recommendations.
