Southgate Apartments

I've lived here for almost 2yrs the apartment is great. Jessica and Ester I n office are so sweet and help in anyway you need. Only thing is residents do t follow pool rules, that's only thi g other than that tje girls in office are so awesome to manage the property.

Employees are great and very helpful! Maintenance is quick and knowledgeable! Loving the atmosphere of the neighborhood! Highly recommend!

Should be Negative stars, paid rent and still got illegally locked out of my apartment here. Even with proof that I paid rent I could not get a re-ntry key, lost all my family's stuff. I been locked out for months, I tried to hand them a letter to state to move out since I was illegally locked out. My family homeless for months on end. But Jessica refused it. Said it didn't matter and stated that she will continuously keep renewing my lease but I'm not allowed to live there. So we are still being charged. The place has black mold, roaches, rat, and sometimes snakes because the rats draw them in... And a leak that they didn't fix for years. There was never any maintenance. And not once did they ever spray for the roaches. Some of my family had to be hospitalized because of the black mold that Jessica admitted she knew it was there but refused to move us to another unit. We also saw Jessica forging signatures on papers and people's money orders. And caught her throwing stuff at the door, and she threatened to have us evicted since we caught her. We never got any sort of eviction notice paper or email, just removed from the portal, but she would take money orders. But still kept us locked out anyway. A lot of times she would laugh or yell in our faces without real reason. We caught her smoking and partying loud with another tenant and we tried to make a noise complaint while we were there and she threatened another eviction for it. Honestly with the way she treated people she should be fired

I wanted to update now that I have been in these apartments for 8 months. I just want to say I feel at home being here. Jessica has been very helpful from the beginning. I like the fact that there is a pool available to the community unlike my previous apartment. Almost everything is perfect here. Just waiting for the laundry room to open.
