I’m slightly disappointed with the management’s approach. They did not apply the one-month free move-in promotion as promised. If you are looking for an apartment and counting on their “one month free” promotion, I would recommend not relying on it and considering other apartment options as well.

I am writing this to share a deeply disappointing experience during our first month at SoNa apartments. To date, my roommate and I have had to submit over 40 work orders to address issues that should have been resolved prior to our move-in. Management has since admitted that a maintenance walkthrough was never performed before we took possession of the unit. The issues have ranged from minor inconveniences to serious safety concerns: • Safety & Structural: The exterior building railing was detaching from the structure, several electrical outlets are loose, and floorboards are coming up. • Appliance & Utility Failures: We have no hot water in the downstairs bathroom. The dishwasher initially failed to turn on; after a "repair," it now fails to turn off. Additionally, the washing machine chirps constantly, and the toilet seats have broken under normal use. • Pest & Maintenance: There are active wasp nests on the balcony and in the windows, and the blinds fell from the wall on New Year’s Day. The management of these issues has been equally concerning. We have found the online maintenance portal to be unreliable, as requests do not always successfully submit. Furthermore, our interactions with the office staff, specifically Jeffery, have been difficult. He has been dismissive of our concerns and has responded with an unprofessional attitude when corrected on pronouns, a basic human right. We were promised a formal walkthrough with management to address this extensive list of repairs, but that promise has not been kept. I strongly advise prospective renters to be cautious and insist on a documented walkthrough before signing a lease here, as our experience has been defined by negligence and a lack of professional courtesy.

I lived here from 2023–2025, and management changed a couple of times while I was there. It’s an older property, but overall it was well maintained. The neighbors were friendly, although some didn’t clean up after their dogs. Neighborhood itself was quiet and peaceful. I lived on the first floor of Building 9, which didn’t get much natural light. Wind would blow trash to the front and back of the apartment, but after reporting it, management eventually started clearing it more regularly. When I first moved in, I had a roach issue. Pest control was responsive, and it was taken care of quickly with no ongoing problems. One ongoing structural issue was the front door shifting every few months, which made it hard to lock and required maintenance. While maintenance usually came quickly (same day-2days), the quality of work dropped after the most recent management change, and I had to place 3-4 requests for the same issue and clean up after they left nails and screws behind. Overall good for the price.

Thank you Jefferey for your patience and understanding regarding a situation that occurred. You truly went above and beyond expectations and I can't thank you enough. In times of need you understood and listened and this means a lot to me. You're a great worker and we are glad that you help run the office and property. Thanks again =)

The new management company is not will to work with residents. When they found a mistake they made they added it to my monthly payment, making it impossible to pay. When I reached out to see if they could take off the extra charge so my regular payment could go through, they acted as if there was nothing they could do. Which of course because then they can charge a late fee as well. It all about the money they care nothing about residents. I dont recommend you rent here.
