This is a girl's dormitory at UT. My comments are based on our daughter's experience. If you have a girl starting there as a Freshman, this is where you will want her to live her first year.

Residents of the SRD are always so charming, punctual, and polite. Security on the other hand is a different matter entirely. They are either WAY too serious or completely checked out on TikTok with their feet on the desk. I despise being approached by greenie security guards who display assertive dominance. I deliver cookies for a living in West Campus. I know my place, no need for all that.

Wonderful experience on move-in day. Clear communications. Excellent administration. Fantastic food (family invited for lunch). Clean. Thank you SRD

Both of my girls have lived at SRD now and we love SRD! The house staff is great and I know the girls are safe. Maintenance has spoiled them, now they expect apartment maintenance to be that fast and good and it's not. Lots of special events and memories to be made and shared. Highly recommend!

I was a resident here from 2017-2019 and I can't say enough good things about living here. Aside from getting a home-cooked meal most nights, and having a housekeeping staff that are made up of the most lovely women, the staff here genuinely care about each girl who lives here. This isn't some dorm with management that couldn't care less about who is living there--they genuinely care and work through any problem you have! Food is GREAT, and for some of the reviews who have complained--there was always a cereal/salad/soup/sandwich bar that had alternatives that I could make myself if I wasn't feeling it. I always felt safe, and was super thankful that while it was near west campus--I could always get away from the craziness of that side of campus. I'm super thankful to have lived here and as someone who didn't rush, meet some of my closest friends right along my hallway. P.S. get a sunroom! That was my all time fav room.
