Northgate Apartments

Came in for a tour and I loved it! The staff was so nice and I love that they’ve done a lot of upgrades. The outdoor kitchens are so cute with the string lights, I am excited to move in next month! Thank you for helping me find my next home!

I would not recommend living here, I am sitting in my living room as I write this review, just came back from the office which is newly renovated, im sitting here literally hearing a mice squeal from my kitchen. Roaches are completely OUT of hand. I’ve requested to move units. Not sure how much of a difference that will be, im beyond ready to move from here. Im not interested in paying anymore rent, until the new owners really look into all the problems with this complex, not to mention how it’s totally inconvenient with this office, & with paying rent, they don’t accept money orders anymore, I have to go out my way to pay my rent by mail. When I did go thru their website; it was a mishap which caused me to be behind on my rent. I have still yet to make a change of address , so there’s another problem; with the mailboxes I guess those get broken into. So to sum it all up; Northgate (The Axel) is not a decent place to stay, unless you’re content with living with rats & roaches & not being able to get your mail & dealing with them in the office… 🥴 uh., im just ready to go.

Apply if you want to be utterly disgusted, lied to, and annoyed. If I could give this hell on earth ZERO stars I would. My boyfriend and I had been on the hunt for an apartment and were touring many apartments. We toured The Axel and during the tour we asked the leasing agent about screening procedures etc. We go on to ask about misdemeanors because I have a charge from years ago, he goes on to assure us a misdemeanor would not be rejected. We were sold at this point because the rent was less than 1200 and I was certain we would get in. We go back to the office to apply, 350$ application fee the agent says “Sign here, here, here ” and kept assuring us we wouldn’t be rejected. Hadn’t heard anything in a week so I’m calling they say they’re waiting for the background check to return, and at this point I wasn’t worried. Got a call back a couple days later that I had been rejected due to a misdemeanor. Spent 3 hours on the phone and was refused reimbursement. I feel like it was a sign from God because when we toured the apartments we went for a newly renovated 1 bedroom. Every room we had toured that day was in shambles and absolutely disgusting. Signs of roach life, their definition of renovation is slapping paint over chipped paint and dirt, holes in people’s entrance door, as well as tweakers hanging in the complex.

My experience at Northgate Hills was the worst anyone can experience. From the first day everything started badly, I was without a key to the mailbox for a month because they always made excuses for me. I had some noisy and annoying neighbors, they had a dog and all the dog's poop fell on my balcony, the office people never did anything 2. The ceiling started leaking water and they only brought drying machines, the electricity bill was so high that they spent 8 days connecting the machines and never repaired the ceiling. 3 the air machine broke down, water started coming out and it took more than 15 days to repair it 4 there was no water and I went to the office and they never came to repair a month without water Mrs. Leticia is a joke and not to mention the others who are sitting there with their great laziness with no intention of helping anyone. I went to hand over the keys on 07/31/2024 and the woman said they were going to put a fine on me for leaving the apartment and on my credit report. They don't care about the conditions one lives there without water, the apartments are in poor condition. They gave me the apartment with ruined cabinets and they never repaired them and they want me to stay there. They are the worst apartment staff I have ever dealt with in my life. If there was a way to report them so they would be shut down, I would do it. They are not acts to live by and worse if there are children they only care about people's money and nothing else, and that is without saying that they would mention charges that they have already paid.
