A maintenance/service technician came to fix the lock on my son’s apartment door, but after fixing it, he locked my son out of his room and left without giving him a new key or any confirmation that the lock had been fixed. All of my son’s belongings are still inside the room. Could you please help or find someone in person in the building who can assist him? Every time I try to get help, I only receive responses from an AI agent. Is there a real person available in the building on Sunday? This is an urgent safety issue. What is supposed to happen if there is an emergency, such as a fire, and my son cannot access his room or belongings? Update: When my son first moved in, he noticed that the lock was already damaged and immediately reported it to the check-in/front desk staff. They sent a service technician the next day to repair it, but after fixing the lock, the technician locked my son out of his room and left without providing him with a new key. Even worse, they are now charging my son for the damage even though the lock was already damaged when he moved in and he reported it immediately. This apartment management is absolutely ridiculous. Beware if you are considering living here. They will charge you things came broken. Tell your kids to take pictures with the date on it. These people are scamming our kids.

WE GOT STUCK IN THE ELEVATOR YAYYYY! I actually don’t live here so take this with a grain of salt. I came to help my brother move in and we ended up getting stuck in the elevator on the 14th floor for about 20 minutes. Seems beautiful aside from that although I can’t speak to living here long term. I have, however, heard horror stories of the elevators not being functional or accessible sometimes and can confirm they are true. It would suck to get stuck on an elevator if on the way to an exam or in the middle of a medical emergency. I feel bad writing a poor review but honestly I wouldn’t want to have to worry about the fire department coming to get me if the elevator stops working. Thanks firemen 😄

DO NOT LIVE ON THE 4TH FLOOR. (OR 17 or 18) I lived on the 4th floor less than 10 feet from a common area that I was not told (ever) was used for parties and at least 2 nights usually 3 or 4 a week there were massive parties that would go until 1-2+ AM that would be shaking my bed from noise. I was not warned about this before moving in, the building did nothing about it (no rent discount, nothing). Overall not worth the money. 4th floor was always trashed, other floors might have been cleaner from less people using them but it still says a lot about the quality of care they take. also at least one elevator was ALWAYS broken, i usually took the stairs to the 4th floor. only 3 working elevators maybe 4 weeks the whole year i lived here. Owner says they have noise complaint policies in place but everytime i called I got sent to an AI bot and management/building staff never did a thing, except for a single time out of over 100+ parties. Do not let this place take your money.

Lived here for 2 years. My apartment was great- working AC, running hot water, no bugs, didn’t have to pay utilities. Maintenance was very friendly. BUT… if you have a car, DO NOT PARK HERE. If you ride a bike, KEEP IT IN YOUR APARTMENT. My car was broken into 3 times, and my bike was attempted to be stolen twice. I’ve gone through two heavy-duty bike locks. Ion Austin leaves the back doors on level two open 24/7. These back doors lead to an alleyway full of homeless people. They can come in and out as they please, and there is no security camera to see who comes in. Ion Austin will not pay for damages or respond to any complaints. This review is written by a girl who rarely has anything to complain about. This is really just a PSA.
