I’ve lived at Hardrock Canyon for four years and absolutely love it. The location is unbeatable—close to great restaurants, H-E-B, and shopping, all within a short drive or even walking distance. The property itself is beautifully maintained, with lush trees throughout and frequent visits from friendly deer families, creating a peaceful, natural atmosphere. It’s the perfect balance of tranquil, off-the-grid living and city convenience. Alex and the entire office staff are exceptional—always professional, attentive, and welcoming. I’m proud to call Hardrock Canyon home

We had several issues during the leasing process, but Alex, Izzy, and Peyton were incredibly helpful. They were always willing to assist us, offering solutions and alternatives until we were finally able to move in. Now that we’re living here, we’re truly happy with everything this place offers. It's pet-friendly, perfect for walking your dog, and there's even a dog wash station. The gym is equipped with everything you need and feels brand new. There are two pools, a car wash and vacuum station, lots of green areas, and it's peaceful and quiet. Plus, it's conveniently located near supermarkets, banks, and more. We’re really happy to live here!

Pro (and this is the only pro so I can give 1 star): - Great location (5-minute walk to Trader Joe’s and HEB, 3-5 minute drive to Whole Foods and Costco) Cons: 1. In January 2024, there was a water damage that flooded over the living room of our apartment (See pictures). The leasing office did not give us any help regarding relocation or mitigation until we reached out to waive one-month rent. We (and our pet) had to live in an extremely noisy and unsafe construction site for over a month. We had to move all of our stuff to the bedroom, and the larger-sized furniture that we couldn’t move was coated with dust and construction debris. Our area of living was super limited, not to mention I was preparing for my interviews during that time💀(luckily I was able to get a job in the end). And this thing happened again to other residents based on the reviews, which just makes me feel sad and angry because apparently the leasing office did not take any action to prevent this kind of issue from happening again. 2. The leasing office never responded to our requests regarding the leasing extension, keys replacement, insurance confirmation, etc. They hired seasonal receptionists, so (at least from what they said) these receptionists did not have any access to high-level information, and the only thing they can respond to us is “I don’t know anything about this.” The management team does not care about their residents/customers at all. They never replied to our emails regarding the leasing extension (which we sent multiple follow-ups over 3 weeks) until we sent a final warning that we’re going to break the lease and leave, and guess what? The manager who never got back to us over the past 3 weeks suddenly replied to us at 11 pm! It’s just so ridiculous that the management team does not even care about potential residents who can continuously contribute to their profits… 3. This is the moment that I lost my patience and decided to post this. Our AC is not cooling properly, and this is not a big issue. It happened to us before - basically the maintenance team just needs to add some freon, and everything should be done in 10 minutes. However, it’s been a day, and no one is coming to fix this except there's a guy who did some simple inspections and tried to blame me for not turning down the AC to a lower temperature. It’s late July in Austin, and it’s over 100 degrees outside. As a human being who works from home, I’m barely okay with the environment, but my pet is suffering from the higher indoor temperatures and almost got a heatstroke. In the meantime, the property is trying to redo all the paintings during the day so they can sell at a higher price in the future, which is the only thing they care about (and I even doubt this based on what I mention in part 2). Btw it’s been over 6 months, and the security gate is still not fixed, which causes potential security issues because one of my packages had been stolen earlier this year. There are a lot of apartments in this area that are cheaper and newer than this, so I would highly recommend anyone who is interested in living in this area consider other properties rather than this place.

Its apartment 1332, in great shape, clean air, The Goodwin model with porch overlooking trees, 3rd floor so private and safe. You can ask the front desk to tour. Ask the front desk to tour if you're interested! 😊 My Previous review: After touring all the apartments in north central Austin in the

I strongly advise extreme caution before considering leasing at Hardrock Canyon at Greystar. Since February 20, 2025, my apartment has experienced water damage and extensive construction issues that rendered my kitchen and living areas completely inaccessible and unsafe. Management continuously dismissed the severity of the situation, repeatedly denying my requests for temporary relocation, stating incorrectly that the apartment was still habitable. Despite clearly unsafe conditions—including severe fire hazards caused by a plastic barrier blocking my primary exit and cluttered escape routes—management asserted it was not their responsibility to ensure safe access to essential areas. They explicitly stated it was "not their responsibility how I access my kitchen or living area" and that their only obligation was to provide access to water and gas per the property code—an outright misrepresentation of their responsibilities. Additionally, improper containment of construction debris, such as indoor cutting of plasterboard and spraying popcorn ceiling material without adequate safety measures, resulted in persistent throat irritation, breathing difficulties, and frequent severe headaches. My personal belongings were heavily coated with construction debris, causing significant contamination and inconvenience. Throughout this ordeal, management’s responses have been dismissive, neglectful, and in clear violation of Texas habitability laws. Given my deeply troubling experience, I strongly recommend potential renters seek alternative housing options.
