Grandmarc is great! My unit is extremely spacious compared to other west campus apartments, and I love all of the amenities. Maintenance is quick and easy to navigate and the mail/package system is well organized! The one thing I miss from old management is receiving emails when our packages arrive, but since the building is transitioning into new management, that might be something they could do later! Love living here!

The noise level in this apartment is insane. I can hear my neighbors dog whining/barking in my room, the people above me shake my apartment just by walking around, and you can hear everyone’s conversations in the courtyard/hallway. In the 3x3, my shower has NO light, so I had to install my own, and have to clear out mold every month. The AC blasts my roommates while leaving my side hot, and maintenance told me there’s nothing they could do. Our fridge water line freezes and has to be thawed out weekly. The dryer tears up clothing and has ruined nearly every pair of shorts I own by tearing off drawstrings. This apartment has been a literal nightmare, and for the price they charge, is a SCAM. DO NOT LIVE HERE.

Staff is incredibly rude. New management doesn’t take feedback back into consideration and scolds residents for bringing things to their attention. They use the same excuse every time: “We only started in October.” They’re not friendly at all. The complex is incredibly dirty and very money hungry. They send violations out absolutely no reason and without proof. The woman manager is worse. Always has something snarky to say. The male manager walks with his head high like he owns the place, yet the only area kept clean is the lobby. When given a tour, brand new appliances are advertised. Upon moving in, you are presented with outdated appliances yet you’re still paying high amounts of rent. Incredibly awful experience living here. I highly encourage finding a different place to live.

When living at grand Marc this is what you are experiencing as a resident. This is what they leave out in the tour. Most of these pictures are in the garage level when first coming in to the facility and the corner picture is in front of my apartment. They have pushed all the dirt on the floors to each corner of the hallways. It seems as though nothing is ever actually cleaned off except their leasing office on the first floor. Not to mention the numerous noise complaints I have filed because the noise level in this building is absurd. All hours of the nights people screaming and yelling off balcony’s and in the hallways. I was told for my packages that I have to “plan on their delivery” based on when the leasing office is open. Which on Saturday is 12-5 and they’re closed Sundays so really no packages being delivered on the weekends. The inside of your apartment itself is fine, but it is kind of embarrassing even having anyone walk into this facility unless it’s through the front office. For my rent being almost 2200 every month I shouldn’t have to be embarrassed for friends and family to come visit here.

This apartment it self is good enough. I think the room is large enough by comparing with the other west campus apartments. I live in a studio, the furnitures and the design style are pretty nice. Besides, GrandMarc is quite close to the campus, especially convenient for those students have courses on the north side of the campus. The maintenance is usually around 1-2 days, not bad at all. However, the noise level there is beyond what you expected. I might give it a 5 star review if it located in a quiet area. Firstly, in recent years there is a continuous construction project going up right in front of the Grandmarc building. They start around 6:30 and ends around 7 PM, which is terrible and disturbing. The construction usually goes on 7 days a week. It’s not the apartments fault, but I still feel pretty bad. Besides, you may hear noise coming from your neighbors clearly. They made stumping, punching, and loud music noises frequently. Moreover, that Mockingbird bar and the Guadalupe street half block away from the apartment will let you feel crazy sometimes, especially in night time. In conclusion, this place is a choice if you are OK with all kinds of noise and would like to have parties. Otherwise please don’t live on the west campus. At last, the front lady and those stuff are kind. However, they are not good at solving issues. So, the problems just stay there even they have good attitude.
