Lived here for a month, here’s the overall impression: Pros: - 663 bus and easy to get to campus - maintenance is quick (usually within a day or two) - Quiet community - Laundry is clean and well-maintained - Ample parking and proximity to grocery store Cons: - Old apartment with pest problem (Big cockroaches may get into the room) - Noise issue: my room on the 2nd floor has some vibration problem from rooftop HVAC units as well as in-unit AC from neighbor downstairs. Though maintenance came but not able to fix but did alleviate a bit, pretty annoying especially during summer when ACs are on all the time.

The speed bumps are very hard on your car. Don’t move here if you don’t want to spend $2k+ on car repairs

Nice location close to the river and the bus stop (campus to Colorado is about 40 minutes on the bus with regular traffic). No children allowed. Frequently infested. A/C is so-so (too hot in summer). Laundromat always dirty. No safety locks on doors, and no 24h security. No gates either (not a fenced condo) Rent is expensive and getting closer to Austin housing market. Electric bill is over 90 usd for 1 person. Glitchy and expensive internet service (no optic fiber in this condo!). I recommend to share a house closer to campus!

Management induces quite a bit of stress. They make you feel you are not at home but in a dorm. They make you a agree with a living document that they change constantly and you need to comply with anything they may want (like they made us throw away any pole lamps because suddenly those were a fire hazard...). They knock and enter your house, no matter if you are in the shower and cannot get out to tell them to wait. They are removing the safety locks (literally). They are dormifying the complexes, meaning that now you will share the apartment with an unknown person. There is a complete lack of transparency on the decision making process, meaning that residents have nothing to say on any decision that will affect their living experience there. Good luck if you choose to put your living in the UHD hands...
