Cardinal Point Apartments

Let me start off by saying that if it weren’t for foundation communities and the resources they provide I wouldn’t be in the position of stability I am in today, however, I feel it necessary to leave a review after living at the property for 4 years and the reasons why behind the 3 star review. Over those years, I experienced instability in property management and case management which had me feeling frustrated that there was always a new person to become acquainted with while I am entrusting them with personal life matters. I didn’t get a good case manager until my second year, which at that point I was graduating the two year program that supports you with one on one case management. Shoutout to Marllory, she was amazing and I still think of her often! The main reason I am leaving two stars is due to my last year at the property when a resident below me had a terrible roach infestation (per the pest control guy “the worst infestation he’s ever had to deal with”) to which they migrated to my apartment. I had gone the ENTIRETY of my lease with ZERO roach issues. Over the course of that entire last year I sent in SIX service requests to deal with this issue before it spread. The guy would just come and spray and that’s when he actually showed up. I called, I emailed, I complained with no one returning my calls or emails, therefore leading to the issue getting worse when I was moving and didn’t want to take roaches with me. I found it awfully convenient that James (the current property manager whom I have never met) emailed me back promptly after I returned my keys but ignored my emails concerning the roaches. I WOULD HAVE given a five star review and still do recommend foundation communities as a whole, but the last year of my residency really left a sour taste in my mouth since I had been such a good tenant who paid on time every single month for an entire four years. Maintenance was always prompt (Jeremiah was amazing and I will miss him) however this was a third party who would come to pest control and that guy honestly needs to be fired and I wish I knew his name. The fact that I was ignored for an entire year regarding a health hazard like roaches when I have two children and pets living in my home is outrageous and I can only hope they put a new manager at the property who actually does their due diligence. Michelle was the only good property manager they had. So, with that being said, there are definitely improvements to be made here and I hope they can get it together for the betterment of the people living there.

I love Cardinal Point—this is my second contract with them in three years. I want to highlight the two technicians: Rabah and Jeremiah. They did an amazing job, always too friendly making everything easier and getting the work done quickly ( and they made the whole process feel effortless). My only small concern is that front stuff changed meanwhile, which made things take a little longer, but overall, it a great experience.”

Not enough parking and the parking spaces are too small. There is always a strong weed smell no matter the time of day. People have children and families live there. There needs to be stricter enforcement on that. People can’t park, parking suvs and trucks in compact parking spots, parking in double spots, parking in handicap spots when they aren’t even handicap. This place needs some better management
