422 at the Lake

So the location of this complex is UNREAL! Best location I think downtown, because you get the awesome parks next door and river besides the concrete downtown. Loved the location so so so much. The apartment however has been a disaster living here. 3 fire alarms in the last month at 9-11pm week nights. Never ending elevator breaks, when they do work, slowest elevator in the state of Texas. Constant car garage gate breaks, homeless people throughout hallways screaming at me, car towed 3x, sewer smell in kitchen everytime I run dishwasher or washing machine, packages stolen from doorstep 3x (also stolen & torn apart in the mailroom), Car broken into & stole my things. The issues honestly never end & never are resolved. The rugs in hallways are just so gross. Location great but personally not worth the headache of having a stable place to live, maintenance team awesome- especially Maximus on maintenance, they do show up within 1 day of a maintenance issue for your apartment & I have no idea where this apartment would be without him & his team.

My experience living here has been terrible. The fire alarms go off randomly. The elevators never work and break down the the majority of the month. Pigeons will leave droppings all over the apartment and it is extremely dirty. For paying such a high level of rent this apartment is by far the worst choice in the area. I do not advise anyone to try to move here. I will say that the maintenance is extremely good when it comes to repairs. Miguel is very helpful and always on time. Aside from that this place is a 0

Currently in the search for an apartment moving back to ATX after a few years away and was already blown away just by the tour. If you’re looking for a new place to live, definitely take a tour here and ask for Ryan! The rooms and complex were fantastic, but Ryan made it even more special! He answered all of my million questions, picked out the perfect units to tour just by my few requests, and he’s the magic behind all of the fun social events that happen each month at the complex! Ryan makes you feel so supported and like you’re making a new best friend throughout the tour. He definitely made this complex shoot to the top of my list for my future move-in date!

Kind of robotic. They put a chain on you and it’s not a good experience especially when looking for a HOME. I lived Europe and SEA for years but it seems like here in USA, they take rentals way too serious. As if they must maximize the money or they will die. It’s a little scary how cutthroat the business is. I shouldn’t pre-judge, I guess it’s always possible they’re in debt and just trying to save their lives or else, lose the business, but it does feel a bit uncomfortable speaking to this place about simply finding a home. Don’t go into business if you’re not ready 🤷‍♂️. Good luck to all out there. If your flexible, other parts of the world are much better 🙂

Honestly, I’ve loved my time at 422 at the Lake. The location is hard to beat—being right by the water makes coming home feel like a real escape at the end of the day. But what really made the difference for me was Rashaud, the assistant property manager. He’s super approachable, always quick to respond if you need anything, and just genuinely cares about making sure the residents are taken care of. If you're looking for a beautiful spot with management that actually has your back, I definitely recommend checking this place out.
