The Mark at Arlington has so many great qualities, and I genuinely love living here overall. However, the parking situation is a major issue that needs to be addressed. There simply are not enough parking spaces available for residents. As a result, people are creating their own parking spots just to have somewhere to park. It feels like residents are being FORCED into paying additional fees—$60 for covered parking or $200 for a garage—just to avoid having to park far away or walk from the back of the property. While a “free” parking space is technically included, it doesn’t actually benefit residents when there are no available spaces to use. Parking should not be this stressful or inconvenient for residents, especially at a community that offers so many otherwise positive features. This issue significantly impacts the overall living experience and deserves immediate attention. The major inconvenience would've influenced my decision to sign a lease at this property.

I am writing to express serious concerns regarding the unsafe conditions at this apartment complex following the snow and ice storm we experienced last week. Unfortunately, the property was not plowed or treated with ice melt even once. As of today over a week later the south side of the complex still has thick, unaddressed ice. On Monday morning, I had to assist a pregnant mother who was terrified to walk across the ice due to the very real risk of falling and potentially harming herself and her unborn child. I have personally witnessed multiple residents of all ages, including elderly individuals, slip and fall because of these hazardous conditions. Additionally, at least two or three residents felt forced to take matters into their own hands by using personal tools to shovel ice and snow just to create a safe walking path. This should never be the responsibility of tenants. We pay thousands of dollars in rent, and basic safety measures especially during severe weather should be a priority. The lack of action taken to ensure safe walkways is unacceptable and shows a disregard for resident safety. As a community and as a property, we deserve proper maintenance and care, particularly in situations that pose such a high risk of injury.

The reviews about parking is no joke and not people being dramatic. Plan on leaving after 10pm to go out for the night? Good luck finding a spot when you get back, there will be car vultures waiting for an open spot. I look out the parking lot at night and not a single spot is open. Waking up in the morning you will see several cars parked in fire lanes. I've been documenting this and hanging onto to this hoping this is resolved before getting Fire Marshalls and all involved as its a serious concern. Have a safe controlled overflow lot, reduce the covered parking spots, so residents don't have to make up parking spots or walk across a street with no crosswalk to get home, which isn't even officially related to the apartment complex its a Dave and Busters parking lot.... The staff is amazing, shoutout to the maintenance team for being so good, the place is beautiful, the apartment itself no complaints I love it, but the parking situation is ridiculous. This would've easily been a 5 star review if there wasn't such a huge issue.

Parking has become a serious and unacceptable issue at The Mark at Arlington. There is effectively zero parking available for residents. Even the guest parking that was added is filled daily, leaving residents with nowhere to park. This problem began once residents realized the property no longer tows. I personally called the tow company to have a non EV vehicle removed from an EV only spot so I can charge my car, as the leasing office instructed me to do, only to be told that The Mark’s towing account is currently on hold. How is this acceptable? The situation has now escalated to residents parking everywhere, including fire lanes, which is a major safety concern. On top of that, many resident spaces are filled with vehicles that do not even have permits. If permits are not enforced, what is their purpose? Because of this, I am now forced to park at the Highlands and cross a busy street with my family just to get home. It was never this congested before. This overflow is clearly the result of no enforcement. I understand towing is unpopular, but what is worse is residents being unable to park at their own complex. Management needs to address this immediately through proper enforcement

Pros: The amenities are great especially the gym. I cancelled my gym membership because this gym is amazing! Theres’s fun resident events like painting nights and sound baths. The staff is friendly and always has cookies in the office and dog treats if you have a dog . There’s cute ducks that swim in the pond and they’ll come up to you sometimes. Cons: The fire alarm was going off almost every week for a few months and it’s multiple times a night/day when it goes off. One night it went off 14 times. A few days later it went off at 6am. We don’t even evacuate anymore because there’s never a real fire which is a safety concern if there ever is a real fire. The boy who cried wolf. BUT it’s been Abi it a month since they went off so maybe they fixed it? Twice the electricity in the entire community turned off for a few hours. The front door isn’t sealed well so it lets in cold air through the crack. They say there’s recycling but he puts all the trash in the same bin. (If you look in the recycling bin it’s filled with trash bags which the recycling facility will throw out)
