I’m back at the Drake Apts for a 2nd time. This time Kerlyne is my leasing agent. Exceptional extra mile is how I would describe the service I received. Sometimes small acts of kindness can change a life. This is an another new beginning for and Kerlyne assisted me with a great “welcome home”!

I got my lease. They made the process so easy I applied online. They kept in touch. They told me when I got approved. They walked me through the process. Kerlyne My leasing agent was the best part of the process. She even came in on her day off because we had previously made the appointment before she had it off to sign my lease and papers walk me through and help me out. I really appreciate it. I hope I love it here but so far my experience with the rental office has been great.

I had a really great experience working with Jada during my leasing process. From the start, she was extremely friendly, professional, and helpful. She made everything easy to understand and was always patient whenever I had questions. Moving can be stressful, but Jada made the whole process smooth and comfortable for me. She took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure I felt confident about my decision. It honestly felt like she cared about making sure I had a good experience, not just getting paperwork done. Because of her, the whole leasing process was quick, simple, and actually enjoyable. I really appreciate all the help she gave me and the positive attitude she had throughout everything. If anyone is looking to lease here, I definitely recommend working with Jada. She made the experience a great one.

I’m honestly very disappointed with this apartment complex, mainly because of how poorly everything is maintained and cleaned. From the outside to the inside, the buildings look old, dirty, and badly taken care of. Paint is worn out, things look outdated, and regular cleaning is clearly not done properly. Maintenance in general is very poor. When you rent an apartment here, you really need to be careful, because they often give you a unit that is not properly cleaned. In my case, the apartment was not deep-cleaned at all. I had issues with light fixtures, dirty bathrooms, and a kitchen that clearly hadn’t been cleaned well before move-in. The common areas are just as bad. Hallways and carpets are stained, dirty, sometimes torn, and many buildings smell bad( either like marijuana or even a strong fish-like odor). It doesn’t really matter which building you’re in; they’re all pretty much the same. A lot of residents are careless and rude, throwing trash wherever they want, which makes everything look worse. The laundry service is one of the biggest problems. On paper, there are a lot of machines, but that doesn’t matter because most of them don’t work. They’re constantly broken or out of order. On top of that, you have to pay through an app. Very often, the app charges you, but the machine never starts. You lose money almost every time you try to do laundry. When you complain to management, they just say the laundry is handled by a third-party company and that they’re “not responsible.”wft But at the end of the day, this is their property, and they should be making sure inspections and maintenance are actually happening. Instead, nothing changes. Parking is also an issue, depending on the building. There are a lot of cars, and sometimes you simply can’t find a spot. On top of that, there is dog waste everywhere because many residents don’t clean up after their pets. The dumpster areas are disgusting. They constantly smell bad, and when they’re full, people just throw trash on the ground. Bags break, garbage ends up everywhere, and the smell spreads to nearby buildings. For some reason, people also leave trash and unwanted items in the lobbies, almost like they expect someone else to take it. Instead, it just sits there and makes the place look even worse. All the amenities are old and poorly maintained. The gym has broken machines and missing equipment. The pool is annoying to use because you need passes, and you’re only given two, which makes it impossible to enjoy it with family or guests. Overall, common areas are dirty and neglected. Safety is also a concern. There have been shootings in or around the complex. That alone should make anyone think twice. At this point bro, I’m just frustrated. My honest advice to anyone reading this: pay a little more $200 extra a month if you can and live somewhere smaller and better managed. It’s not worth living here because no one solves your problems. Maintenance doesn’t help, and when they do show up, it feels like they’re doing you a favor. Staff attitudes are generally bad, and there’s no sense that residents actually matter. If you’re okay living with these conditions, then maybe this place won’t bother you. But if you have the option to live somewhere else, take it. I genuinely don’t think this is a good place to live.

This is by far one of the worst apartment complexes I’ve ever lived in. I strongly advise anyone reading this to stay away. The buildings are extremely old and poorly maintained. There is clearly no proper management structure or maintenance plan in place. Everything feels neglected, from the buildings themselves to the common areas. Basic upkeep is missing everywhere. Maintenance service is terrible. Repair requests are ignored or handled weeks later, if they’re handled at all. Management is rude, unprofessional, and consistently unpleasant. They demand rent payments on time without exception, yet completely fail to meet their own responsibilities when it comes to maintenance, safety, and livable conditions. My apartment flooded due to issues that were not my fault, and management did absolutely nothing in a timely manner. I was forced to live in a soaked, smelly apartment for two to three weeks. Eventually, they moved me to another unit, but only after making me sign a brand-new lease. Even worse, they forced me to clean the flooded apartment before leaving. This situation was handled with zero empathy, zero accountability, and zero professionalism. The living environment is also very bad. Many buildings smell strongly of marijuana, carpets are filthy, and cleanliness in general is ignored. The laundry service is a complete scam. The machines are old, poorly maintained, and use a Bluetooth-based payment system that frequently charges you without actually working. You lose money constantly, and nothing is done about it. Laundry rooms are dirty, disorganized, and full of abandoned clothes. Amenities are just as disappointing. The pool has strict and ridiculous limitations: only two guest tickets per apartment, meaning you can’t realistically enjoy it with family or friends. Overall, this place is poorly managed, poorly maintained, and disrespectful to its residents. You’re better off paying a little more elsewhere and living in a place where management actually does their job and treats tenants like human beings. Living here has been stressful, frustrating, and absolutely not worth the money.
