Colony Apartments

Never experienced as much disrespect and disregard towards a tenant as I did during my unfortunate time renting here. On more than one occasion their incompetence and unresponsiveness cost me financially, including a not-so-surprising refusal to return my security deposit when I moved out for the flimsiest of reasons. A petty move, but I was happy to let them have it, because nothing compared to being finally rid of this depressingly haunted place. The heating rods buried in the walls clunk and bang loudly all day and all night, and when I complained, they said they were old (they certainly were) and there was nothing they could do about it. The shabby paint job that was hurriedly done before I moved in started to peel off the walls not long after, not to mention mold in the bathroom and leaky plumbing creating a murky mess. Then there's worn out windows that do not shut properly, leaving you to the mercy of the dust and the elements (imagine a Cleveland winter coming through your windows). The worst thing is that for the price you pay this experience is hilarious. You would have to be desperate and naive to rent here, which is exactly as I was. A terrible mistake. Spare a couple more hundreds and you could get a more modern apartment where the tenant is actually shown some regard and you have a place that is worth your dime. What a joke.

I’ve been living at Colony apartments for a year and a half, and my experience has been good overall! Maintenance is responsive and the man who does it is very kind & Austin is absolutely the best part of my experience here, he’s always a phone call away and he makes sure to answer questions and be supportive even a year after moving in. There are some minor problems (as there are with most places) but they do have good people employed and an overall good community!

Very nice

This is our son’s first apartment experience. He experienced all the same common complaints others have had. But, in spite of that, there are a few positives. For instance, Ms.Bridget was the one that has truly helped us, from the get go. As a matter of fact, she was the only one that we can consistently get ahold of and she was always willing to help us. The other positive was Valerie. She was instrumental in helping us get our deposit back.

The only good thing about this apartment is the name. My daughter first place and it has been traumatizing. The only time you can reach Shay or Bridget is when you first move-in or if you owe a late fee. You will paying two security deposits why they should pay you!! My niece car was breaking into staying the night there; my other niece car was towed after a few hours of being there. So please keep looking if you see a great review it's only because they just moved in!!!!
