Students generally appreciate the convenient location, excellent amenities like the gym and pool, and the benefit of fully furnished apartments, often finding it a great value compared to on-campus housing. However, many residents frequently experience issues with inconsistent management, including unannounced apartment entries, challenges with building access, and concerns regarding cleanliness in common areas like trash rooms and hallways.

My experience at The Flight at Dayton has been extremely frustrating, mainly because of the management office and the way they treat residents. I will be fair: the building has some good amenities, including a gym, games, and resident events. The maintenance staff are also the only people I have consistently found to be respectful, helpful, and quick to respond. Unfortunately, the management service is extremely poor. The mobile access system for the doors and elevator has not been working properly for about a month. When I went to the office simply asking for help getting into the building where I PAY TO LIVE, I was told that my building is somehow managed by two different offices or companies, and that they could not open the door because my apartment belongs to the other company. When I signed my lease, nobody clearly explained that I would have to deal with two separate management offices just to access my own building. Residents should not be forced to deal with the consequences of a broken access system or confusion between two management companies. That is an internal management problem, not the residents’ responsibility. If the system has been broken for a month, management should have fixed it or provided every affected resident with a reliable alternative immediately. What makes the situation worse is the dismissive and unprofessional attitude at the office. Instead of listening and helping solve a basic access problem, they speak as though residents are inconveniencing them by asking for assistance. People living here are paying customers and deserve to be treated with basic respect. Good amenities cannot compensate for terrible management, unreliable building access, and an office that pushes its own problems onto residents. The maintenance workers deserve credit, but the management office seriously needs to improve its communication, professionalism, accountability, and treatment of residents. (Ryan is very helpful and he’s very prompt sufficient)

this place is genuinely the worst. no working elevators for almost a month now as well as no working internet😁😁 i’ve had MULTIPLE random maintenance workers walk into my apartment without notifying anyone. i’ve also gotten my car towed out of my parking spot that i pay for!! trash hardly gets removed so the place constantly stinks. everyone i know that has already moved out has been charged hundreds of dollars for wall repairs (when we moved in we were told we were allowed to put things on the walls but i guess not). good luck getting ahold of anyone in the office as the phone is never answered and they don’t respond to voicemails. if you want to stay sane and not get your money taken live literally anywhere else but here

this place has no urgency for fixing the amenities. A perk of this place was free coffee but they don't even have a machine anymore. Trash room is always clogged and is gross and no one unclogs it or cleans it. Elevator breaks about every other week and there is no urgency to fix it at all so trash and groceries have to be carried up and down multiple stories each time. the internet broke and there seems to be little to no urgency to getting it fixed prior to college move in day which you would think would be a priority. The place often times has bad smalls and when you move out if you even put a scuff on a wall from living in the room they will charge you to repaint the wall and if you don't want to pay it because it seems unreasonable they will threaten to take you to court and report you to credit unions to ruin your credit score

The apartment access panel is broken and no one is working at the office despite it being open according to there hours. Better management and maintenance are needed for such an expensive “high end” university housing complex. Many people locked outside and waiting for office staff to show up to work.
