AI Review Summary
While these apartments offer a clean, safe, and convenient living experience with a great location and generally friendly staff, prospective residents should be aware of potential issues with thin walls and inconsistent management communication regarding policies like trash disposal and maintenance. Some former residents also report difficulties with receiving their full security deposit back and challenges with pest control in certain units.

It’s a normal apartment but do not expect your security deposit back. They change the carpet almost every-time someone moves (we watched a lot of people move out) and will find the smallest wear and tear to charge you the $700 to replace it. The comment on our return (which was only 20% of what the original deposit was) was that the seam where one room transitioned to another was slightly coming up. This is normal wear and tear that is more likely from poor installation than anything we could’ve done. It’s always way too much effort to fight for your money back, but I thought I would just warn anyone going through Ardent in the future.

Mailboxes don't work. There aren't any cameras. No keypad or locks on the pool. Management is very aware but doesn't do anything. I was told to stop calling about a pool problem because they won't do anything about it. Also, they no longer power wash the pool, before they open it for the season. They just dump A TON of chemicals in it. The picture below is what the pool looked like before they just added the chemicals. However, the apartment and overall experience has been very positive. It is appropriately priced and in a great location. I enjoy living here and would recommend it to anyone who wants to live in this part of Columbus.

Unfair management practices.

Walls here are very thin to the point you can hear everyone’s conversations, when they go to the bathroom, and when they are in the kitchen. The rental portal they use is setup in away that if you don’t make sure your auto pay is set for the first of the month you will always be charged late fee and the staff is kinda rude. The bar across the street can be loud at random points during the week. I recommend looking elsewhere.
