We really enjoyed living here for 1+ year. The location is perfect, the apartment was super comfortable and the building felt very quiet overall.

I've lived in this apartment for 2 years before heading out. Here's what I can say: Overall, the best word to describe the apartment is 'mid'. It's labeled as a luxury apartment, and in a sense when compared to every other place in little italy, it easily beats the competition. The issue is you definitely aren't getting the best deal for your money. Sure, baricelli does a great job of being the standardized apartment you think of when you hear the word, 'apartment'. You get key fobs, there's a leasing office, a nice parking spot in a garage, in-unit laundry, new and modern appliances, and balconies if you're lucky. But this place is egregiously overpriced, with lot of emphasis placed on location. If you're CWRU student, you can get to campus in 5 minutes. Unfortunately, a 1b1b will set you back at minimum 2000 before water bill, electric bill, internet bill, parking (175$ a month). That's if its even available - more often its the more pricier, larger units that are still open for rent. Pros: - in unit laundry (lots of little Italy house/apartments have shared old laundry machines, so private laundry is nice) - updated appliances in general (microwave, range, big fridge) - AC system - a small gym - dumbbells, treadmill, and mirrors across the room. Small but it can work - an actual parking space, not just some random dingy corner - hardwood floors - many units are very spacious. Even the smallest of rooms would be at least 700sqft - maintenance on site is very quick: will take care of issues next business day usually Cons: - Mailroom is pointless seeing as how package delivery drivers opt to just leave boxes stacked outside the main doors. Honestly can't blame em - sometimes there is no one in the front office to ring in and the 2 door airlock of the front is not wheelchair friendly, nor do the doors closely slowly. One can only imagine the hassle it is to move 30lb delivery boxes inside. - Garage is not intuitively built, 2 cars cannot pass each other at the exit - some parking spots have fire extinguisher boxes facing into the spot...meaning they'll hit your mirrors - other comments are correct: there is not enough staff for the amount of residents. Details such as paint damage or deteriorating landscaping is noticeable. - Nearby Inn building has no insulation, no elevators, 1 remote for multiple AC units in a unit. It will get incredibly cold in the winter. - For some reason they addressed my deposit check to a nonexistant mailbox, even though they asked me to confirm a forwarding address both in a paper form and in an email?? I got my deposit back late like 3 weeks later. This is likely a symptom of understaffing and too many tasks going around.
