Water is constantly shut off without notice. No heat during the coldest week of the year and poor communication. The gate to the parking lot was out of order for over 2 months. They fired a great super just to hire at a low wage. Moved in to a completely filthy apartment with a literal pound of cat hair and loads of dirt. Work orders are open for weeks without any attention or concern to the tenant. Windows are nice. That’s all, not worth the price. Let’s see if we get our deposit back.

Avoid this place at all costs. From the moment we moved in, there has been a consistent lack of communication from the management office, starting with ongoing parking issues. The EV charging station has been out of service for several weeks. When I contacted the charging company directly, they informed me they were still waiting on a response from building management. Most concerning, going into one of the coldest weekends of the season, our heat has not worked since Wednesday. We notified management and were told a technician would be sent, but no follow-up contact information was provided and no one ever showed up. With large windows and exposed concrete, the apartment does little to retain heat, making the situation especially uncomfortable. On a prior occasion, a maintenance technician did come out for the heating issue and confirmed that the bedroom vent was not producing any heat. However, he left without providing a solution or any follow-up. By Friday night, management still had not followed up to ensure the heat was restored before the weekend as they are out of office till Monday. Their only solution was leaving a space heater at our door at 10 p.m. This ongoing pattern of poor communication and lack of urgency has been extremely disappointing.

The apartment itself is great, perfectly close to everything in White plains and if you get a view its amazing, but thats it. When I moved out, I only got 1/3 of my deposit back, because of "damage" to the bathroom tiles. Had a professional look at what was claimed as damage and just needed certain cleaning products but management stated everything needed to be replaced. Parking in the back is awful, good luck, cant even get out of your car its so compact. It constantly smells like weed. When I moved out, management made it difficult and was not helpful; couldn't throw out any small pieces of furniture (bed headboard, area rug) meanwhile I've watched multiple people leave huge couches and sofas outside by the dumpster. If you want a nice apartment and nothing else, move here.

The building is pretty nice, although it's the only residential apartment building within a few blocks and located in an industrial/ isolated area which can be a little scary to walk through sometimes. Management (the main office) can be difficult to get ahold of sometimes for time sensitive issues such as gaining access to the parking lot when I have switched mobile phones. The superintendent Daniel is the main reason why I renewed my lease at Norden Lofts! Daniel is the best super I have ever had, he is friendly, courteous, responsive, and seems genuine about providing a pleasant and safe living environment for all residents.

I lived in a Norden Lofts studio apt close to 2 years. Friendly and responsive leasing management. The property manager is also very dedicated; they are always cleaning. No building issues during Covid. Safe. Ten min walk to express train to city. Nice gym with cardio equipment and some free weights. Air conditioning works great. I never used the heat since the sun kept the room warm enough. Did not find the train noise bothersome; i was able to sleep without issue. Lots of sunshine on south side of building with huge 8ft windows all year long.
