Excellent building with amazing amenities. The roof top views are incredible and the staff & management is very friendly. They also have social events and it’s easy to make new connections and friendships in the building.

We moved in last year, and just resigned another year long lease. We love living at the Willoughby. The front desk staff, porters, and maintenance staff are always so friendly, they go above and beyond to help us out. When there is an amenity issue, management offers quick responses and provides as clear timeline. We love the community events, and the coffee stations!

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Willoughby. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the rooftop deck offered an unbeatable view. I particularly appreciated the monthly building events organized by the staff, and my dog thoroughly enjoyed the constant supply of treats from the front door staff. Although the apartments are relatively small, the floor-to-ceiling windows make the space feel more spacious and provide stunning views of downtown Brooklyn and lower Manhattan. However, I did have a few complaints. There were frequent delays in repairing shared amenities, such as broken grills and closed dog walks. Additionally, the building was more expensive than the market rate for the neighborhood, and the rent increases at renewal were steep. (expect a minimum of 10% yearly increases)

We’ve been living at the Willoughby with our dog for 2+ years. I cannot speak highly enough about the staff, their professionalism and warmth and care towards the residents and the building. Building is perfectly located, nearby subways, restaurants, bars, grocery shopping and Fort Greene Park!

I moved to NYC from CA and went directly to the Willoughby. This is now my third renewal. Outside of being well run, with incredible staff, it checks a lot of boxes for a great building that really feels like home. First of all the building is actually built decently well. It feels more like a mix of condo level quality at rental rates. A lot of these buildings are tossed together and feel very cheap - willoughby feels a little step above. The views, gym and amenities are clean, well built, and just what you need, not massively overdone like a lot of other spots trying to sell you on perks you won't use. The check list is pretty unreal when compared to other areas. 1. Access to trains (1 block BQR & 1 stop into soho) 2. Access to grocery stores (1 block to target & traders, food market and more box chain shopping) 3. Access to park / green space (1 block to one of the best parks in BK) 4. Access to one of the top up and coming neighborhoods (1 block to Fort Greene, coffee shops, restaurants, and neighborhood is special) 5. Walk, run, or quick bike to the water in dumbo I could go on, but all things considered this is a great place to land if you are looking to be in BK, close to the city, and don't want the Williamsburg hype.
