Renters BEWARE! This garbage pile of an apartment building is an overpriced pit of despair. Since day one of move in (or attempt to move in, as we could not get a hold of anyone on the day our lease was set to start) we have had an utterly disgraceful experience with the building and management. Not only are the management team unresponsive to maintenance issues —from a light fixture that has been neglected to be fixed since moving in 11 months ago to a leaking ceiling that was simply just painted over— but they are unbelievably rude on the phone when you are trying to get answers about bare minimum requests. The building sends you on a wild goose chase with the ticket portal, where if you submit a request and you are lucky enough to even receive a response, you get directed to call the super, Vincent. Trying to get a hold of Vincent is like playing Where’s Waldo? if they forgot to add him to the drawing — he just does not exist. You might get lucky though, and one of his buddies will show up who seemingly has zero experience as a handy man (they “fix” things that become somehow even more broken than before. For some ungodly reason, one of them even used our toilet when they were meant to be fixing something in the bathroom…) The building itself is filthy and the “amenities” are often inoperable: mold grows across the ceiling on the ground floor (again, it is just painted over as a fix rather than dealt with), the laundry room is somehow always in a state of disrepair and the machines constantly break, the elevator has not worked for the past several months despite tenants frequent calls to 311 and even a court order from the city, and the backyard is full of dog waste. Not to mention the flooding you may experience if you’re lucky enough to inhabit the ground floor. Also, don’t get me started on the 24/7 neon green LED light strips straight out of your little brother’s college dorm room that illuminate every square inch of the building… It’s a straight up con that they market and price this place as a “luxury” building. Do not be fooled by the photos that Nooklyn puts up for the property, they are outdated and deceitful. Save yourself.

When we moved in, the place was incredibly filthy and filled with broken appliances and light fixtures (some of which we’re never fixed through our entire lease). During move-in, there was little to no communication from the management company (FullTime Management) who are basically impossible to reach for any assistance with maintenance, payment, or any other facet of our living arrangements. On balance, the management company was either unbelievably rude (from day one for whatever reason) and/or generally incompetent. The elevator has been almost consistently broken for about 3 months now, the laundry room can be hit and miss, and the ground floor floods pretty much every time it rains. The singular saving grace of this apartment, and why I give it two stars, is that the shared backyard is unmatched anywhere in the city and is a massive plus if you have a dog. Otherwise, this otherwise nice enough building in a good location has been ruined by garbage management.
