This property offers a fantastic living experience with great value, boasting a clean environment, excellent security, and a variety of appealing amenities like a gym, yoga room, and inviting common spaces that foster a strong sense of community through regular events. While some amenities are still in development, the location is highly convenient, providing a peaceful retreat with easy access to shopping, transit, and quick commutes to Manhattan and other boroughs. A minor consideration is that some units do not include microwaves, and e-bikes are not permitted in the bike room.

Love the amenities and staff. They host events all the time including a wine tasting and paint and sip class. The gym has a variety of machines and the common spaces are very nice and well thought out.

I’ve been living at CORE since it opened in August 2025, and overall it’s been a great experience. Before moving in, my wife and I toured about a dozen buildings across North Brooklyn, parts of Queens, and Upper Manhattan. I’ve previously lived in a “luxury” building with “affordable housing”, so I knew what to look for and what questions to ask. There are three areas where this building really stands out: 1. Cleanliness & Maintenance The building is consistently spotless. The cleaning team (shoutout to Kelly) does an excellent job, and Noel from maintenance is responsive and reliable. In contrast, some other “luxury” buildings we toured were surprisingly dirty—no wipes in the gym, stained carpets, out of order machines, etc. That’s never been an issue here. 2. Security The security team (Sebastian, Matthew, Angel, Pedro, and others) is attentive and professional. It’s genuinely difficult for someone unfamiliar to just walk in unnoticed. Food deliveries are handled by the doorman, who calls up when they arrive, and all other packages are stored in a locked room only accessible by staff. In other buildings we saw, delivery rooms were left open, and in one case they even had photos posted of people who had stolen packages. I’ve never had an issue receiving deliveries here. 3. Amenities While the rooftop and second-floor outdoor spaces aren’t open yet, the building already has a gym, library, workspaces, a children’s playroom, and a lounge. Sure, some buildings offer more—like pools, basketball courts, or dog runs—but those tend to be overcrowded. Here, the amenities we do have, I actually use because it’s not constantly packed. With that said, the property management team (Kyle, Sam and co) do an excellent job. Neighborhood Perspective I’m a Brooklyn native and have lived in four of the five boroughs (exclusive Staten Island), so I have a lot of experiences to pull from. This area is definitely on the quieter side—honestly, I joke that it feels like a senior living community because many of the residents are older. That’s not a jab; it’s actually a big plus if you’re looking for peace and quiet instead of constant noise and nightlife. At the same time, it’s still very convenient—about 30 minutes or less to Manhattan and parts of Brooklyn by train, plus access to express buses. Cons (Minor) My complaints are relatively small and not related to the management: * Units don’t come with microwaves (though you get used to it). Make steaming to reheat your food a normal thing. * E-bikes aren’t allowed in the bike room, regardless of the bikes compliance level. I had a $3,500 UL compliant e-bike I had to sell prior to moving in. * Getting to my mother and grandmother's houses in Bushwick takes me 1 hour by bus/train combo, 1 hour and 20 minutes by train only, 20 minutes by taxi, or 25 minutes by bike. This might not be your reality. Final Thoughts I’d recommend this building to someone who wants quick access to the energy of neighborhoods like North Brooklyn (Williamsburg, Greenpoint), Midtown, or Forest Hills (Forest Hills Stadium has hosted major concerts recently) but without the higher prices or congestion. If your concern is that it’s “not luxury,” I’d suggest defining what luxury means to you and being prepared to pay for it. NYC doesn’t have a formal definition. I’ve been to some buildings in the past that have labeled themselves “luxury” just for having an elevator and laundry. Happy apartment hunting 😂

I spent over three months searching for a new place to live after noisy neighbors moved in next door to my previous apartment. I looked everywhere, from Greenpoint and Long Island City to Forest Hills before coming across an ad for CORE REGO in Rego Park. I’m so glad I did. From my very first tour with the leasing agent, I knew I had finally found the perfect building, location, and apartment. CORE REGO truly has it all, parking, a full gym, yoga room, bike storage, and a doorman who ensures my packages are safe. My two-bedroom apartment features floor-to-ceiling windows, a washer/dryer, central air, and stunning views of both Queens and Manhattan. For the price, I couldn’t find better value anywhere. The location is ideal, just minutes from major highways and trains, and only about 15 minutes into the city, giving me the best of both worlds. The management team is outstanding, and Kyle has been an absolute pleasure to work with, always making sure any issues are resolved right away. If you’re considering a move, CORE REGO should be at the top of your list!

I’ve been checking out some nearby buildings as I consider moving. This is brand new building and It’s got a gym, yoga room, bike storage, indoor playground for kids, a library, and a big outdoor space with awesome city views. One thing I really like is that the bike room’s right by the street, so it’s super easy to park and go. $15 for the bike room. The amenity fee is $70 a month, but you only pay for the months you actually use it, which is nice. Utilities are a flat $200–$270 depending on the apartment—not bad if you run the AC a lot like I do! Rent is a little higher than other places nearby (about $50–$100 more), but they’re offering 15 months for the price of 12, so it ends up being a good deal. Not all the amenities are finished yet, but they’re only charging the amenity fee once everything’s ready. For now, the gym and yoga room are already open, which are the main ones I’d use anyway. The location is great—quiet but still really convenient. It’s an 8 mins walk to Rego Mall, with Costco and a supermarket right crossing street. Feels like a good balance between peaceful and practical.
