When you live at one of the CoSo apartments on 115th Street, you can walk to classes at Columbia University in less than 15 minutes. If you’d rather go on two wheels, hop on your bike and be there in only six. Wake up each morning feeling the buzz of living in New York City, close to Central Park, great shopping and all that Manhattan has to offer. If you get up early enough you could even take a jog to Central Park before classes. Rummage in your fridge and whip up some breakfast in your kitchen or stop off on the way to university and grab a latte from Cafe Amrita. If you’re not in a hurry, grab a seat, connect to the Wi-Fi and study as you tuck into breakfast waffles.
When university is done for the day, pick up supplies from Down to Earth Farmers’ Market and make a quick meal on your gas stove. As many of the apartments have dishwashers, you won’t have to worry about washing up. If you don’t feel like cooking, pick up some chicken to take out from local institution Amy Ruth’s, or head out to one of the many laidback restaurants on your doorstep. Power up for late night study sessions with dark chocolate peanut butter cookies or chocolate chip walnut cookies from Levain Bakery. In many of the apartments on 115 Street, you can watch Cable TV on your flat screen or use the internet hookup to log in to Netflix. You’ll be able to sort clothes for tomorrow before you go to bed with washer/ dryers in most apartments.
