Live by the coast in one of the most desirable neighbourhoods of Los Angeles and you can pedal your way down to the boardwalk and beach in around 5 minutes. Eat out in cafés, grab food from the farmers’ market or pick up a quick take-away from restaurants within an easy walk of your home. To get to class, jump in the car and drive 20 minutes’ to University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). If you’re studying at California State University, it’s an hours’ drive away.
When you’re not in class, make the most of your time in Los Angeles and see the sights exploring famous neighbourhoods like Beverly Hills and Hollywood. Park your car in the parking when you come home and return to your room to freshen up. Take a shower then unpack your bag and get on with your studies. Wi-Fi’s included in your rent, along with your utilities and cable, so you’ll be good to go as soon as you move in. Study at the desk in your room, or kick back on the sofa and read through your notes as you watch a little TV.
When you need a change of scene, pop out and visit Bergamot Station to see what exhibitions are currently on display or find out about upcoming events. Meet up with friends and rent a couple of surfboards for the day or fish from the pier. Team up and play volleyball on the sand then grab a fresh juice from Nekter Juice Bar before returning to your room refreshed and ready to get back into your assignments.
