This is a delightful place to reside. It is a peaceful environment with a family friendly quad area for activities. The staff is friendly and maintenance is quick to respond to repair requests. I would recommend Castlewood Apartments to people looking for a good place to live.

Castlewood is just like a phone company it comes with hidden fees. I am not a smoker and have never been but I have a $25.00 account charge due to butts being underneath my balcony. The people that live out here are rude and very disrespectful. When I first moved out here everything was good but as the months went on things got worse. I have been asking the manager to come fix my a/c unit in my second room since I moved out here, which is almost 7 months ago, and no one has yet to come fix the a/c which is going to be my daughters room. Also, my ice maker in my fridge has never worked and no one has yet to come fix it. The apartments at Castlewood is not worth the price, park place seems like the better option of the two. I am not renewing my lease due to the problems I have out here! And when there is a problem the manager never addresses you she just have the maintenance man put a piece of computer paper in your door! The only good thing about staying out here is the pool, when ever it's clean and open. And the high security located around the complex. Another good thing is the fact that they do spray for bugs.

We have lived in Castlewood for a year now, and most defiantly resigning our lease. It make not be in the best location ever, but our manager really gets things done and constantly does things to improve the complex.

Being single and in my 20's I have lived in a couple of the apartments around the Valdosta area and visited many more and I can say that I finally found a gem. The landlord is open and friendly, and gives you all the information you need without dodging any questions. I haven't yet had the need for maintenance to visit me but from what I have heard from neighbors they seem to be friendly and professional, while being competent. Something not every apartment complex can offer. I've lived here for a year so far and the best parts about Castlewood, to me, are: 1.) Its quite. (read: No loud parties, no 'block parties' or parking lot parties that can sometimes plague other apartments here) You SEE your neighbors much more than you HEAR them. (You do get the occasional Firetruck going by as the station is just down the road, but that should be a given living in the city.)This is a big plus in my book, unless you're the party type. 2.) Castlewood seems interested in investing in itself, whether that be upgrading or adding security cameras, upgrading the on-site washer/dryer facilities, almost weekly grounds keeping or planting new grass/bushes/flowers, they seem to be actively keeping and at times adding on to their 'curb appeal'. 3.) While I have't met everyone who lives here, most residents seem to be either college students or small/new families. There is also the Courtesy Officer who lives here. 4.) The parking lot and grounds are pretty well lit at night with what I can only assume are LED lights, that with the security cameras(which still operate in darkness) gives a nice sense of security.
